are there any mods for this build that you cant have on gear because it messes up an interaction (like if I have cold damage to spells does that mess up elemental equilibrium)

Easily solved by taking avatar of fire until you have gear sorted.

How am I actually supposed to play the minion army build?
There is soooo many active skills (Storm brand, Bone offering, RS, Signal Prey, Flame Dash, Vaal Skeleton, Summon Skeleton (Do we even use that?), Bone armour, Convocation + Flasks) that I'm not sure how to utilize them properly and can't even fit them all to the normal skill bars. I just end up spamming most of the buttons and then fill with RS.
Is there a prefered way to use the skill? Which one is the most important/gives the most damage when mapping? Just pop Storm brand on groups and move on or what? Could I swap Predator to something else so I would have one less skill to worry about?
Your offering will eventually be on trigger wand and you should almost never be pressing raise spectre button. Bone barrier should be put on LMB so it spams on cooldown. You can ditch skellies altogether imo but that's up to you.
I meant that I spam the active skills, not all skills, so of course not spawning unwanted Spectres :D There's just so many skills that the build actually expects to use (at least 8 in total, Storm brand, Bone offering, RS, Signal Prey, Flame Dash, Vaal Skeleton, Bone armour and Convocation).
Yeah, the trigger wand will help at least a bit, but that is still quite many skills. I guess my question is, that when mapping, which are the most frequently used skills? Naturally stuff like Flame Dash is for mobility, but regarding the damaging skills RS, Storm Brand and Signal Pray. Should I use Signal just in bosses/bigger mobs and otherwise concentrate on Storm Brand and RS?

I only ever hit flasks, spam convocation on cooldown, dash occasionally and hit some rares with storm brand and bosses with signal prey/storm brand. Bone barrier will be on left click once I have uber lab. It doesn't really require a lot of apm.

what does Mistress of Sacrifice "Offering Skills affect you" do?
which skills are our offering skills I don't understand this node
We use Bone Offering which gives your minions extra block chance against attacks and spells. With Mistress, we also get this effect.

You have a couple of options here.
The first is to get a pair of Triad Grip gloves with 4 green sockets, thus converting your operatives over to cold damage. At that point you simply replace Spell Echo with Vicious Projectiles, and keep the rest of the build the same.
The second is to focus on Physical damage, which drops Elemental Equilibrium and needs the following gem setup:
Raise Spectre + Predator + Impale + Brutality + Vicious Projectiles + Minion Damage - this gives the highest dps "on paper", but fitting Volley in there somewhere might actually give more single-target DPS due to shotgunning.
I personally prefer the second setup, with Volley in the place of Predator, since it's fewer buttons to push. YMMV.

For the first option also, just remove the starter build gems (zombies+stone golem) in the glove and replace them with the 4 green gems that SO build uses?[/quote]
There are some changes you'll have to make to accomodate the gloves. It will probably be easier to simply switch to physical damage. If you really want to go cold-based, it might be a good idea to have a look at Kay's YouTube channel and see how she skilled them out back when she used them. The most obvious change is to move Hatred to the gloves and switch from Flame Dash to Dash. Other changes will have to be made as well, but I'm probably not the right person to ask about them. As for the gems that I list for the spectres, they have to be linked to Raise Spectre, and since the build uses a trigger wand you can't move the gems out of that either.
I hope this helps.

For the second setup, just follow the starter guide except remove EE and change the spectre support gems. How about the gems on the shield? storm brand, hex touch and frostbite? I think storm brand was used for EE
