Based on what we know it seems like 6 at 25... I am sure they did not want to share this because it would have just created more outrage. They could have at least made the nerf more reasonable by providing more gear options to raise gem level or buff unnatural strength slightly.

that would be a dickheads move. can't belive that.

I will recommend FAS as the basic spectre for 3.13. (FAS is recommended spectre in new league starter build guide).

What about Redemption Sentries compared to FAS?
Has anyone been looking into new Spectre options in Ritual League? I would if I knew how!

I remembered something about 3.10 that made me really angry and sad.

Made significant improvements to a number of Spectred monsters. Many monsters that couldn't be spectred previously now can, and many that previously only used their melee attacks in unlife will now use whatever special skills they had in life. Several Spectres that were dealing damage far above others have been toned down. We're looking at you, Atlas Influence monsters.

So if you look at Baranite Thaumaturge:
https://poedb.tw/us/Baranite_Thaumaturge#Metadata_Monsters_AtlasExiles_CrusaderInfluenceMonsters_CrusaderMageguardCasterSpectre

The spectre version has half damage of monster version. You can find many monsters like this actually.

So for 3.10, GGG added hundreds of new spectres AND separately reduced damage for some too strong spectres. But life was not nerfed!

So that means they could have done same for 3.13. Why not just target problem spectres. They did this for 3.12 with poor Redemption Sentry and Knight. Even in 3.12 FAS has different damage for spectre vs monsters.

100% no reason to completely nerf Raise Spectre gem.

Sad to say but nerfing the gem is the easy and laziest option... Maybe they will change their minds on this one down the road.
Kay I know you are extremely busy updating your guide... But what are your thoughts on skipping Unnatural Strength once you are able to get a wand with +1 spell level/+1 minion level(I realize this will cost like 10EX)? This way we are able to still achieve Gem Level 25 for the additional Spectre with neck and boots and it frees up a major ascendency option. With the passive nerf to Unnatural Strength I just don't see value in it beyond the additional Spectre. Thoughts?

I guess they just wanted to change the meta, because too many people where playing Necro. I know this might sounds unfair but its is what it is.
We will see how it will play out, if enough "new / casual" players will avoid the Necro this time, based on the blunt nerf.

Instead of constant nerfing one Ascendency they should have just focused on making the other options more interesting. They need to understand that making one option that people like less fun may just make people not want to play the game.

Well, they buffed some skills that nobody was using, and still won't use because of poor mechanics or because they are still too weak.

IMHO the whole idea of all latest design changes is to force people to play for a longer time, so tuning down damage and cheap options is their way to achieve it.

The game became so complex in the last 2-3 years than they probably see almost no new players anyway.

If they wanted me to keep playing each league they would provide options to infinitely scale with builds. Once I get to the point of upgrading most everything and I end up getting bored and stop the league.
