This nerf to the Spectre gem is so misguided I am not sure they even play or test their own game.

? Am I missing something? Wouldn't the most painful part of the spectre nerf just require we get the minion life modifier on an elder armor item? Given we have Harvest crafting in this league, maybe GGG just wants us to spend a bit more time with crafting to get to a reasonable power level.
Just take the minion life medium cluster jewel instead
Now that this build is dead, need to find another build to go to....Thanks to Kay for all the hard work she did over the last several leagues. I know it's disheartening to see this, but I guess as they say, "all good things must come to an end"......... Not sure what build is even worth playing this league. If there are none, then I might just skip this league all-together.... I haven't read about one Build that got Buffed yet....

They make the Atlas more challenging(i.e...fighting multiple bosses at one) yet they continue to nerf builds over and over, almost as if they only want the top 2% of players to get to end-game these days....
Now is a good time to push GGG for a "saved spectre hotkey" where when you press the Raise Spectre button it summons a spectre of the last type that died. (Or really any other logic-based method of summoning a spectre that you'd actually want and not just garbage off the floor.)

When spectres were level locked by zone summoned they had an excuse to not offer this, but now they really don't. If they want Spectre summoning to have more "weight" just make the cast time on Raise Spectre 3 seconds or something so it's annoying to use in combat.

Spectres will still probably be ok since Harvest crafting is back, but the changes are pretty lame. F to squishy spectres and support spectres.
This has definitely influenced me to make sure to go for harvest stuff on the atlas skill trees at least, does anyone have tips on harvest crafts for this build in particular?
What about "Life from Death" medium jewel cluster.
Minions Recover 4% of Life on Minion Death

and use skeles. manual cast them for ~16% spectre life per cast (4 skele per cast) or just use low lvl ones for 3 per cast so they die quick.

plus vaal skeles is probably a full heal.



Maybe swap out spell cascade on trigger wand but then u get less life from diadem.

I feel so numb after reading the Maifesto,GGG really has stick it to us summoners this time,Do they expect us to play casters and bows this league?
As somebody playing RS since 2013, I'd like to give my 2 cents.

So, what you have to understand first of all is that for many, many leagues now, RS has been the go-to league-starter by a decent margin (especially in HC). This is undeniable if you look at stats.
(To be clear, I'm not saying that popularity equals power, but certainly there's a good amount of overlap, right?)

It is just the nature of RS that they're great from the get-go, but it becomes harder to compete with expensive endgame builds. If I'm being honest, it's been pretty ridiculous how strong we have been so far with virtually zero investment. But you do get accustomed to it, it becomes normalized, and the nerfs hurt - understandable.

The best solution probably would've been to tweak individual spectres and perhaps AI, but that would take too much work.
I guess SD will suffer the most because of the low base HP - you'll have to invest more, or pick a different mob.
SO nerf (fix, really) was inevitable, I hope no-one is surprised, since it was clearly not working as intended.
However, there are plenty of other good spectre choices, especially with Heist being accessible.

So, I understand nerfs suck, but this was inevitable, it's long overdue if you look at reality and stats without any bias.
Most spectres other than SD have large base HP, so ultimately nothing has changed except losing a substantial amount of damage, which let's face was justified. The Ascendancy small nodes nerf (15% -> 10%) is minor.
If you like RS and want to keep playing it, I would - it will still be an excellent build, especially an excellent starter. If you want to play a different Necro build: zombies, golems, skellies, animwep, domblow, SRS - all still viable. (SRS in particular is still really strong, I don't think ppl realize this, considering how underplayed it look based on stats).
