Hello. I am leveling this build in SSF. My first minion build. What is the best way of getting the dex and str required for a range of skills including desecrate, stone golem etc? Do I just take a few nodes until I can craft it?

If you want to, sure. But personally I just didn't level those gems until gear gave me a comfortable margin to do so. Tbh they don't matter quite as much as your other gems, and using them while they're lower level isn't a problem. E.g. It's not really going to bother you to use even a level 1 desecrate - you care more about the number (and sometimes type) of corpses than their levels or the bit of chaos DoT. Going out of your way for Dex nodes may also slow down your passive progression a bit, so, y'know..

Hey hello, quick question, I'm trying to import the PoB "https://pastebin.com/d3HbpXJp", for the SSF build one, and it says it's for an unrecognized version of the tree.
I checked the update of PoB and I'm currently running the latest version it says, am I doing something wrong?

The original PoB is outdated. Look for the community fork that's maintained by, well, the community.

I just wanted to double check something before I mess up (I am quite good at doing that) It's not too difficult to transition from the SSF/HC version into the pure spectre one right?

Oh and while leveling, is it viable to get my hands on the frost scouts and use them instead of slave drivers? I really like the look of those tbh :D
The block version is really good, but the moment u taste the real Necromantic Aegis, you just dont wanna go back :D

I've fully transitioned to pure spectres and am really enjoying it. I think this might be the first character ever to get to level 100 for me, but I am having a hard time surviving. Any ideas what to do next?

Exile, thank you so for taking the time to give me some advice. Much appreciated!! My first step will be changing out to Bone Offering, then change out the proxy ring for manual frostbite. After, I will play with Bone Barrier and see what I need to change without the res bonuses of Comm of Darkness. I never seem to have enough Dex, so I have to work on that too.

Do you have a go to guide on crafting? Mostly the bone helm. I have saved a lot of resources to work on crafting.

Again, much appreciation!

For a helmet, ideally you want to use an Elder influenced item-level 86+ Bone Helmet (as these can roll +3 to socketed minion gems [ilvl 86 mod] and Minion Damage/Minion Life [Elder mods]); unfortunately these are 10ex just for the base, so probably not an option for you (yet).

Depending on what you want to socket in the helm the next best thing is probably an item-level 84+ Bone Helmet - also with elder influence -; you'll only be able to roll +2 minion gems instead, but these currently go for 1 or 2ex (I think) for the base.

Now that I think about it, it's probably more worthwhile to give up the Bone Helmet implicit and instead just go for ANY item-level 86+ Elder influenced helmet. I think those go for less than 20c for an armor base. I have my AG socketed into the helmet and since gem levels are huge for AG's I'd 100% do this before spending the extra for a Bone Helmet (losing the implicit is only a loss of 4% DPS).

As for the crafting process itself, using just Bound Fossils, craftofexile lists a 1/18 chance to hit +2 minion gems together with T1 minion life and a 1/36 chance to hit +3 minion gems together with T1 minion life.

Keep in mind that bound fossils are currently 10c per. It's totally worth it in my opinion though, and will very likely be cheaper than buying a +2/3 minion gem T1/2 minion life helmet (you should probably check trade before though, just to make sure).

I picked up Bone Barrier as well but dropped Mistress of Sacrifice for it. I couldn't afford the loss to resists from dropping Commander, but I still manage to be 75/75 block capped with rumis and tempest active. Not using bone offering as well which allows me to use flesh offering for more dps.

Bone Barrier was huge in terms of my tankiness. Don't get me wrong, you can still get 1-shot but it does feel a ton smoother. The bleed immunity on Bone Barrier is just icing on the cake, imo.

I really like that tbh. I think I'll actually have to test both this weekend and see what I like more. I could probably easily compensate the lost resists from dropping Commander of Darkness, but getting rid of Mistress of Sacrifice instead really sounds like the better play. Thanks for the suggestion.

Is there a reason we don't take glancing blows with this build?
