Heya, im new and this is my second league and my first minion build (Pure Spectre).
Currently im on Awakening 5 / 6 Conquerors and i think im gonna struggle with damage soonish (at least i do hard on Metamorphs or Guardians already).
So i didnt switch Gems for the spectres so far, why exactly do we use volley ? wouldnt be something else better ?
What about Point Blank or Pierce instead of GMP (just for bosses)?
I didnt really start with Clusters as well yet cause i cant afford them.
What would be the biggest Upgrade for me ?
Yea i know about the Helmet, but jesus thats so expansive with a spectre enchant, no clue how you can afford that so early.
Besides that, if im getting the Helmet i need to switch all jewelry which would cost quite a lot as well or sacrifice all the chaos res.

Made some new changes and trying out awakened GMP, really good for not wanting to swap gems so far and it's pretty insane with dying sun.

I made a 5L steelskin ring as well for survivability but the weapon swap is what is really quite fun lately!

The downside is you can't test the weapon swap solo against any bosses that I know of, as it will die faster than you can swap back and forth but I was testing with some friends on sirus who just sat in the back so his hp could be 300% more and it's quite incredible. My PC I ordered ended up being awful so will try to record on my potato but the rallying cry seems to increase my minion damage by about a flat 25% which is like 350-400k but a bit harder to test.

Overall the weapon swap is incredibly fun and a good way to get a boost of damage for lower geared players , I'll be using it next league as a part of my starter

GMP or Volley has more projectiles and this allows you to have more flat damage than anything else in that gem slot, as long as you are positioning carefully. You will miss out on tons of damage if you don't have the extra projectiles


You don't need a spectre enchant on the helm either to make them good, it doesn't raise or lower the dps as much as you might think.

My hextouch support gem didnt work for me, but i dont know the reason.

Yes I am convocating my S.O. I also tried the dual cluster setup but ended up with to low life for my liking so changed back to single cluster.

drop the proxy and run bonechill and skitterbots somewhere, plus enlighten 3-4 in helmet with rest of auras. drop enhance in gloves and add precision - you can even run it lvl 20 if you are high lvl enough + get the small nodes next sovereignty.


i'm really puzzled about why kay doesn't remove proxy, it's just bad, considering a curse on hit ring unique is 1c even if you don't want to fork for a decent ring

The build feels super squishy (Pure spectres). I do not even know what to do, but if it is just me then I defo made some critical errors in my version. Every time you get hit and lose 80% of life in that single hit just feels super bad, does not matter how much shield with life on block recovers. Barely playable solo in Heists at all. Feels like you can die any second regardless of enemies.

Damage and gameplay aspect - I love it. Maybe later I should downgrade to no cluster or single cluster version.

If you do some rippy content, it is very dangerous to stop moving and cast a spell for Curse on Hit.

Example:


You will die in one hit.

Proxy is like free Blasphemy aura. But it is even better than Blasphemy because skitters are aggressive.

So if you do rippy Heist and you need to clear behind the door. It's not possible to do it with Curse on Hit because no line of sight to cast any spell.

Example:



All monsters on other side are cursed. You can't do this with Curse on Hit.

Hi guys! I too am struggling with survivability. It is becoming more and more demoralizing for me. I've never been super awesome at making money in this game and I dont have alot of time to farm. I play when I can but yea.

Anway, I've gotten most of the items I needed for the Pure Spectres version with SO. I just feel like maybe I am not optimized at all or anything. My block is low and I feel like I cant change out any gear like my amulet or my shield because I would struggle with dexterity and resists.

Could anyone take a look at my guy and maybe offer some advice on what I could work on? I have only 1 exalt and like 20 chaos at the moment so it will be some time yet before I can make drastic changes. I tried to do Sirus A4 and I died before anything even started. Just kind of made me feel bad lol.
