Yes! I have a video guide on my youtube, but there is a better way to do it. I will make a new video guide for saving spectres and release it with the 3.11 build guide.

In the video I said level up alt to 40 so you can save 4 spectres. But actually it's easier to just make PVP only witch (level 28) and it can save 3 spectres. Just make another alt if you want more spectre bank.

No EE for levelling. You don't need EE for early mapping as well! Can get -35-44% fire res from two gems: -25% fire res from Wave of Conviction and -10-19% from Combustion Support (link).

Kay, what's the Redemption Sentry build you recommend now? I saw few pages back that you prefer to not take MoM because you can't Dash when MoM eats all your ES after taking a big hit. So should we use the PoB posted in Redemption Sentry section but remove MoM? Or just remove Diadem and take Skitter+Bonechill instead of Haste?

Over the last week I did 5 test characters and ran Act 1-4 with different setups. In particular I wanted to test the difference between SRS and Skellies.

First of all, Holy Flame Totem + Skitterbots with Infernal Legion are great for clearing.

Second, I think Kay is right, that running both of them is not good, that was the worst combo of all my testing. It's easier to just focus on one.

I found that SRS has potentially higher DPS, but in the end Skeletons had much more effective DPS, especially against bosses like Mervil, Piety, and Dominus. The reason is that Skellies draw aggro, so you can basically continually spam them and don't have to move around so much. With SRS, you have to stop casting to dodge, so you lose a lot of DPS.

Also, on my last run a Minion Life Support dropped, so I decided to throw that on my Zombies and see if it helped, and it did - a lot! With Zombies, minion damage, minion speed, and minion life, they were able to survive Piety and Dominus (including his minions) without dying. They added so much DPS and safety to those battles, they were super easy. So I think that I will definitely use that setup for the next league start.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Still waiting for patch notes, but the idea is to build completely to the left/top-left area. Tree looks like 3.9 league starter build. Then have 8% life craft on body. No MOM.

The POB has 229% increased life from tree and 10% increased ES from tree. So with the medium-tier gear it's 8.1k life / 600 ES.

Then people can choose any helmet!
1. Diadem (2x aura + skitter)
2. Metacrafted 8L helmet (2x aura).
3. something else like Baron and try to strength and get zombie leech!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

So maybe I should go back to the original guide with skeletons (^^;)

I think there are pro/cons

One cast: 1 SRS vs 2 Skeleton. skellie wins.
Movement: SRS can move far vs Skeleton need to cast near target. SRS wins
Agro: SRS no agro vs Skeleton pull agro. skellie wins.
Fire damage: SRS 50% fire vs Skeleton 100% phys. SRS wins.

You can proc -35% fire res on monsters with Wave of Conviction (25%) and Combustion (10-19%).

So... maybe use skeleton and link with added fire damage instead of melee phys. Then skele benefits from -35% fire res as well.

Also, hopefully you can load the passive tree that was posted. I wasn't able to figure out hot to load it. I downloladed it, but all I got was a bunch of images in a folder.

Hopefully the new tree is something you can work with. Looking forward to running this build this league!

No changes to passive tree for my build. Good news.


Some notables change:

Enduring Bond:
Old: Minion 20% inc damage + 20% inc damage if use skill recently
New: Minion 30% inc damage


Spiritual Aid:
Old: Minion 15% inc damage
New: Minion 0% inc damage


Aligned Spirits:
Completely moved! Now near Necro Aegis.


travel node to Death Attunement
Old: 10% inc, 14% inc
New: 8% inc, 12% inc


Aligned Guarding:
Looks like Thread of Hope medium can reach it now! (POB might be wrong though)



Heart and Soul:
Looks like Thread of Hope medium can reach it now! Might be useful for min-maxing.


Vicious Bite:
Old: 50% crit, 50% multi (spectre, zombie, skele)
New: 50% crit, 20% multi (all minions)


Precise Commander:
Old: 50% crit, 15% multi
New: 30% crit, 12% multi


Interesting things:


Darkness Enthroned: Now increases the effect of socketed jewels by 75% (from 50%)

VMS seems to be nerfed a lot, so maybe not useful now. Need to test in standard later.

No mention of Harvest monster as spectre. So we wait for poedb to datamine.


That's basically it.



You can hack POB for new tree.

Find: \Path of Building\TreeData\3_10

rename 3_10 to 3_10-backup
copy skills-3.jpg, skills-disabled-3.jpg, groups-3.png to 3_10
copy data.json to 3_10
rename data.json -> tree.txt

This will just add the new tree. New notables won't work.

Isn't melee physical damage support a red gem?
I'm following your leveling guide for each act and in act 3 you wrote it as a blue gem.

Is it possible for you to add the gem checklist into the full walk through leveling guide for each act?
For example: 1x BBB I find it difficult to know which gems to slot in this 3 blue link item.
