the storm brand thing is not in the build - this was just a test with solar guards which are fire, i made right when i posted the items .. i am using armageddon brand with SD and scale of esh usually


hmm about the clusters - to the clusters in the guide are worthless? in the pob link exactly those are used

This is my first post here, I have been following your build since the start of your league, and I am amazed at how well it is done, showing everything a fresh necro player would want!

Here is my question, though. I am playing EB&MOM version. I switched SD's to Risen Vaal Advocates (lightning variant) recently, since I was sick of SD's crazy running around all the time (and they were dying too easily for my liking in some scenarios), THEN just yesterday I decided to switch wand/shield combo for PoH. Do RVA work with spell echo, greater spell echo from staff? I may be blind or they do not really cast anything apart from their default projectiles.
They are really tanky, but their clear atm seems pretty underwhelming for t14-t16 clearing when I attempt to farm some splinters on maps lol.
I am thinking on switching the spectres for any other ones to work well with double echos in the weapon or ones that will let me really get the juice out of the splinter farm :x Also having the same ones to beat the simulacrum would be marvelous too.
Usually i see ppl and friends farm around 40ish splinters per map, when I max out at ~15-20 at most.

Whats the consensus on SD vs RS for mapping?

I'm using EB and MoM build too, is it worth switching to pledge of hands build for more damage?

Kinda hard to work out where to go from here with my build, happy to invest more currency in it but not sure where to go from here (except reach level 90ish)...

SD with PoH is still the most impressive for DPS and clearing. I guess GGG balanced them with the worst life mod (100%). They die so easily and the stupid AI 'flee'. Early Metamorph was impossible because they just run into storms and die.


Sr, misunderstood. There is no cluster jewel node for Haste, so we cant stack much of aura effect from them. But aura stacking can go really close to Vicious Bite, with the cost of 2 passive point for Vengeful+First :)
Hope they fix the life Slave Driver, or we can find another spectres

Here is how I have mine:
Large Cluster = Vicious Bite/Renewal
Medium Cluster = Vengeful Commander/Precise Commander
Small Cluster = Surging Vitality

You can even find a Megalomaniac jewel with Vicious Bite and Precise Commander. Of course those are going for 60ex...

**I am observing this with RS Sentries w/3 power charges. Also instead of using Frostbite curse you could switch to Assassins Mark curse to allow Deathmark back in your spectre 6-link. If you get an Awakened Curse on hit, you could still run frostbite, and Assassins Mark.


Haha yeah, Precise commander is better than First among quals, if you stack crit on spectres. But again, it depends on your budget to stack crit or stack aura
Hi, I'm playing the MoM/EB version of the build but my DPS is nowhere near the one in PoB for the build.

PoB gives me around 400k vs almost 2M in Kay's PoB

Can someone please give me some guidelines? Where to upgrade.

First off I have to say that I'm loving the guide so far. 36/40 challenges done and on pace to finish 40/40 for the first time this league. Running RS and/or RK with one aura stacking cluster jewel setup and no Gloves of the Council yet or power/frenzy charges.

Able to just sit still in Simulacrum from waves 1-18 while the Redemption Knights clear everything in short order. With Rumi's and Bone Offering up I have max block and 37% spell block, I think that if I were to up the spell block a little more I could actually face tank all 20 waves including Kosis/Omni. Great fun, very satisfying.

I was having trouble clearing wave 20 Simulacrum with RS but after swapping over to RK and using Melee Splash everything just melts in short order - I think it was an issue of damage application on the part of the RS.

My actual question is this: How much benefit are we seeing from stacking the second cluster jewel setup as a trade off for minion passives on the main tree? I'm looking at being able to free up about 20 pts to invest in the second setup and am curious as to the end result. Does anyone with a double cluster jewel setup have a video of wave 20 simulacrum farming so I can compare? Every other encounter in the game is a joke as far as DPS is concerned thus far - Sirus just hops down and phases in a manner of seconds, Uber Elder looks like I took his cookies and the conquerors of the atlas don't even move from their starting positions any more so Im curious at what point the DPS improvements get sidelined for QoL/survivability.

That being said if the evidence is compelling enough I might try to splurge on the 6x megalomaniac jewel setups as an end of league prank so I'm curious what everybody else is doing?

Quick question from a new player here - I'm loving this build so far, however I think I am failing to understand something about Spectres: for some reason, I seem to only be able to have one Flame Sentinel at any given time. When I raise one, I get the big model with fires orbs around it - however when raising additional ones, each subsequent one is a small model - a bit like the assault ribbons.

What am I doing wrong?

Do you have spell echo linked when you're summoning them, echo applies to summoning them too, so it'll raise your target corpse then a random other one nearby, remove spell echo to summon them. If that's what you mean is happening.
Yes I did - many thanks, it works perfectly now (and that's a significant boost in clearing speed!)
