Simplified Build Guide is now Live. Took a while, but I got it done. All PoBs are now current to 3.7.



I don't fully understand this.. They said that by default all melee attack will now have splash damage. If this splash damage is now defaulted even for our SRS minion why then we still use the support gem Melee Splash?
If the area is smaller but still "area damage" by default attack is not more convenient to use the other support gem that will increase the damage further?


Until we actually play the game with the live version, there is simply no way to know if the default is enough 'splash' over using the Jewel itself. My suspicion will be that it will be. However, I left the two links up in the guide so that summoners could judge for themselves.

I think Melee Splash will likely still be a valuable tool for map clearing, but we will not have to gem swap on things like portal phases on Elder any more.

Ah ok thanks for the reply! We'll see how the thing going. I really hope that a default splash on each skull melee attack will be enough.
What I think is that the player will have 1 attack but if we have at least 10 skull the area damage will be enough for clearing purpose with the dps support coming from the 6th gem different from Melee splash.
But yes, as you said already, we need to wait tomorrow :)

Now I realize why you asked. The pastebins provided had Melee Splash socked rather that WED/EDWA. My bad, guys. I was super tired last night.

PoBs are now updated to reflect our old "single target DPS," (which is now both single and AoE thanks to the changes) and I clarified the pastebin section with 'perfect scenario' Shaper Damage (3x Spider stacks, all 20 SRS up, etc).

Its my first time really looking at the numbers with Spider vs. Avian, and my goodness was I pleasantly surprised. The +1 damage is looking quite juicy, though it will be harder to obtain since its a less used body armor. Seriously, 309k Boss dps PER skull? That's damn near what the +1 Skin numbers used to be.

Yes that's insane dps lol!! Even without a +1 you'll have a 200+k PER skull!

What are your thoughts on using multimodded elder 2H weapon with fortify support (now 34% more melee damage) and running victario's influence with new auras?

Its pretty interesting! With a viable way to combine SRS and minion instability it will be fun to play with, but will scale a bit differently than a Raw-DPS SRS build like this one.

I'll be looking at trying to build a character around the ammy this league but if its successful it will be a separate guide/character.

What would be a good alternative for the main-hand slot due to the temple mods not being available yet?

Guys do you think that the default melee splash on minion is sufficient for clearing? Or the support gem melee splash is required?

You can Essence of Fear craft a weapon, or use Minion Fossils for a stand-in.
Things like The Fortress can also be a cheap, easy source of block if you need a bit of toughness early on.
