What do you think about anointing Ravenous horde and then taking the minion damage/mana nodes by Scion with Indomitable as well? Seems more point efficient, provides you more tank and minions a little more DPS so long as you don't need the extra 1 skill point somewhere else

I'd say no to this. The nodes around Ravenous Horde (minion movement speed, attack speed, damage) are worth the three int nodes you have to take to get to the wheel. Because this build is constantly re-summoning skeles we don't really care about the added minion survivability you'd get from Indomitable.

I don't mind the idea of getting the Aligned Spirits wheel, but there are cheaper (in terms of passive points) sources of mana and minion damage.

Hey, I dropped a Empower Support Gem, You don't say anything about using it in this build, should I just sell it, or is there a good place, in this build?

Not sure if the wiki is updated or not but in past seasons empower was never better than the support gems in the skele setup. If you look at the wiki, you can see the minion stat progression. Basically once you hit gem lvl 18 onward each gem lvl adds 10% minion life and 10% flat minion damage. So you can theory-craft out if any of the support gems are better or worse than the extra gem levels in your specific setup. I've never hit that point with skeletons.

The one other consideration is if you want to try and hit 9 max skeles, which happens at gem lvl 24. Again not sure if that's updated for this league or not, but there will be a gem level that grants an additional max skele you may want to shoot for.

What about Evangelisks as spectres for HC? 2 of them and 2 of the frenzy guys? Is it worth it for more defense?

Great build btw!

I tried this and had trouble staying in the proximity shields. So I've switched to Host/Carnage chieftans.

If we are using Spectres, and not shield charge, is there any need for equipping a shield? Can't we dual wield convoking wands or something?

It's a choice between the damage/clear speed boost from an extra convoking wand and the energy shield/life/resists you get from a shield.

By default holding 'a' allows you to select corpses. Additionally once you've got 1 of each you can just go back to your hideout, this adds them to your hideouts list of monsters and makes getting the next 2 easy.

Ahhh that explains a lot, haven't made it to mapping yet but now I understand how it works.
Newb question but what influences the damage of the build? The physical damage on the weapon? any + physical damage modifiers on equipment? what about the +elemental damage on weapons?
is it a good idea to use animate guardian on an unset ring on this build?

Very useful guide :D

What order should you take the Ascension talents in? Should you go straight for Bone Sculptor or get master of puppets first?

Ascendancy skill order is: Invoker, Bone Sculptor, Flesh Binder, Puppet Master.
what about the new ascension points :)

no mods influence minion damage unless it states "minion" in it.
Like the convoking wand with minions deal %increased damage and such.
We get most damage from passive tree and leveled gems, basically.
The spectres with frenzy and power charges are well around 40% damage buff, so its a good way to improve damage.
No %increased physical damage or flat physical damage increases minion damage unless it says "minions have x to y physical bonus damage", for example.

It's right there in the guide...
Ascendancy order: Mindless Aggression > Unnatural Strength > Mistress of Sacrifice > Essence Glutton
Hello :)
I have a noob question about this build.
Should i look for Energy Shield or Evasion?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, so basically the weapon damage is irrelevant. It's all about the "minion" mods and skills/gems.
