[3.9] Pure Phys Skeletons & Friends Necromancer — Beginner/SSF/Budget Build

Its been some time if anyone did try the 1 golem set up how does it feel?

Its 4 points that can get you to a socket slot, worth right?

Oh, and does the jewel

''Minion deal x% increased damage if you have used a minion skill recently'' &
''Minion have x% increased attack and cast speed if you or your minions have killed recently'' stacks, if you have a few of those

and gems should i change something

Raise Spectre has no supports gems on it. I don't know if you just removed or don't have them but if your going Carange and Host Chieftain spectres you'll want Blood Magic and Meat Shield.

This is up to you. You can go the impale route if you want it does increase your dps significantly. The immortal call unless you really want it can change, the spirit offering should be enough protection. Same for Arcane Surge it can be changed to something else unless you need it.

The easiest thing would be to when you buy new gloves is to make sure they are a Armour Energy Shield hybrid that way you can color them with chromatic's easier. If you do that move the Zombies gems to the new gloves and move what's in your gloves now to your boots. And the Zombies gem setup could be Raise Zombie+Minion Life+Meat Shield the you have a choice of wither Fortify for more tanky Zombies or you can run a Animate Guardian.

Also in case you don't know some people in the thread have set their profile public so you can go and look at the Necromancers they are playing to look at their gear and gems and also their passive tree if you want. Easiest way to get there is to click their name in a post navigate to the character tab and look for a Necromancer in list. Make sure it has Metamorph somewhere under the name of the character to make sure you looking that the right one.

Here is a link to my character page the character your looking for is IWouldLikeToTrySSF https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Rebur/characters

And here is Solanales who has also been very help this league who has a very high end game gear if you want to see that. Look for the character HappyFloorboardNoises https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Solanales/characters

they use impale instead of feeding frenzy chargers why ?
and what items should i use on animate guardian

The reason to use Impale instead of Feeding Frenzy is the more dps. Since usually the Carrion Golem also uses Feeding Frenzy your skeletons have the buff anyway they just don't charge and most of us feel that the dps increase is enough and we can just summon skeletons on top of a enemy we don't need the charge.

As for Animate Guardian gear here is a link to the page with a summery of various things the build can do and on it has Animate Guardian gearing options. Scroll down and look for Undisputed22's second post on the page. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2108003/page/276

For items with up to four links, I usually don't use chromatics, but mainly jewelers on the crafting bench, regardless of the stat requirements of the item. That's way more controlled than slamming chromatics and you dont need to keep an eye on the base when shopping (except to avoid high requirements). The algorithm is as follows, always using crafting bench recipes (these should be available at upon starting endgame, or earlier):

1. Give the items 2 sockets.
2. Use the chromatics crafting bench recipe to give 2 off-color sockets (the colors you want, but off-color in relation to the stats of the item).
3. Your item has now 2 sockets and you are happy with all the colors so far.
4. Use the crafting bench to make it 3 sockets.
5. Check the color of the new socket. If you want this color, go to the next step. Otherwise give the items 2 sockets again and go to step 3.
6. Your item has now 3 sockets and you are happy with all the colors so far.
7. Use the crafting bench to make it 4 sockets.
8. Check the color of the new socket. If you want this color, go to the next step. Otherwise give the items 3 sockets again and go to 6.
9. Use the crafting bench to link 4 sockets (or slam fusings if you're feeling lucky)
Is it best to stick with the original set up if you cant afford a decent chest piece with offerings? I'm currently using a mix of both without thee offering set up on wand and belt.

I did all the content on a slight variation of the original build, so if you can't afford a full setup for triple offering route, there is no reason not to stick to the original build.

As a sidenote, I tried it with all the equips and I didn't feel like it was worth the management that it takes to keep all offerings up and the return wasn't that good. But that's perhaps down to personal playstyle.

I recently aquired an Elegant Hubris Timeless jewel
(Comissioned 98080 coins to commemorate chitus (Cardio-Victario)
that lets me get 80% x4 minion damage, so 320% damage in total and +80% minion life
I used a doryani glorious vanity before, so I lost ES by quite a bit, and some life/mana when using this jewel.
I am lost, is it worth selling this jewel since I am pretty sure it's worth a lot, and my damage is fine without it - but bosses etc has never gone down so quickly with the jewel equipped.
I am sure there can be done much to improve the skill tree around this jewel if I end up keeping it. Any pointers?

what should i focus for next upgrade? +3 Helmet will be a huge update, or a new armor? Or maybe let this how it is, and focus on another build
Lost another AG today to a Metamorph and had to despawn a few to save them :( Doing high level corrupted maps!
my AG just died 1 hit with kingmaker on a Metamorph :(
Word of advise, dont use AG on metamorphs

If you can afford to buy Kingmaker, you might as well get Mask of the Stitched Demon and 'Gain % of Maximum life as ES' craft chest to protect your investment. Outside of HotG, it is impossible for him to die with that setup.
