[3.9] Pure Phys Skeletons & Friends Necromancer — Beginner/SSF/Budget Build

As an xbox player I don't have access to the same gear most of you do on the market. I have been searching for a 40% Skeleton damage mod on a bone helmet and have never actually seen one. What is the best way to get this mod? Is it just doing repeated Uber Lab runs? Does anyone know odds or have any tips/tricks?

Thanks
Some more great suggestions. I dropped 1 host chieftan in place of the mervil's retainer and noticed a good difference.

I had switched over to a tankier, more hp version of the build but in turn switched my anoint and pathing, dropping some of the nodes and pathing such as Golem Commander and Ravenous Horde. I have been playing around with ways to free up points without much sacrifice and really try to tweak the top end of this build. Just a heads up my suggestions here are ONLY if you are the same life only tree using Ahn's.

The new jewel Thread of Hope has two big options. The first, and biggest IMO was instead of pathing to indomitable army (crucial in high tier maps for minion survival), you can get a LARGE RING Thread and put it in the SW jewel slot by witch start. This lets you allocate that one while freeing up 4 points.

Another option is the jewel slot directly NORTH of witch start. If you get a MEDIUM RING thread, you can allocate Ravenous Horde saving 6 points if you want that one.

I'm thinking the large ring and dropping 1 life node (at level 96) to patch to the golem nodes for 2 golems again and buffing their flat phys to my minions. It might even be worth taking both medium and large to free up the points and get both. You would drop a little bit of ehp doing this (roughly 10-15% hp nodes) for very large dmg boosts and clearspeed. It also depends on what jewels you were using prior.

Me personally, after losing the two jewels for the above, I went from 8210 hp to 7839 but gained (per pob) rougly 200k dps per skeleton. A very fair tradeoff imo considering now my minions can get onslaught again and gained more speed.

Edit: After messing around more, I personally just took the SW one to free up points for 2 golems again. I forgot the jewels have -all res on them and using 2 I would of had to redo some gear to stay overcapped enough for certain map mods. All I ended up losing was 1 jewel slot this way and freed up enough points to take the golem buff nodes. I still gained around 120k per skeleton and only lost 120hp instead.

How come you don't take aligned spirits?
Hello again my fellow Necromancers,

i have one question again.

I imported my character in Path of Building and it says my AVG DMG for my skeletons is only 156.768 DMG that number seems quite low. I have the fork installed and clicked the Frenzy Charge Button.

Can someone with more knowledge of PoB Check it and explain to me if i did something wrong or if its allright?

I can kill Awakener 8 without much hassle, but find myself dying a lil bit too much so that its rly hard to Level more then 91. So i hope someone could help me out.

Thanks

Vaal Summon Skeletons doesn't work with Multistrike so it isn't adding any damage. Also you should check feeding frenzy as well. Power charges as well if you use host chieftains.

So i need to put in the normal Summon skeleton spell? I was under the impression the skeletons from vaal will work with multi and in that way i still have the vaal ones if i need a massive skeleton army.

And i looked on the wrong number i think xD

I have Total DPS incl. Impale 666795DPS that seems better xD Still not at 1Million like others but better.

Your regular skeletons will still use multistrike even with the Vaal gem so it supports them just fine. It's just your vaal skeletons that won't use multistrike.

I'm not able to find the relevant discussion of MoM using the search bar. Can someone point me to that or summarize what's needed to utilize effectively?

Also for whatever brave soul that takes the next iteration of the guide I really like the idea of breaking out different modular pieces. If that is done can we explicitly list key synergies and anti-synergies (skills, passives, gear). Sometimes it is difficult to tease out why certain choices were made, and this would help us more effectively mix and match (while we get up to speed on all the mechanics and nuances of POE)

MoM utilizes your mana as a buffer for your health bar basically. 30% of damage you take is taken from Mana before it's taken from your health. To effectively utilize it you need a few things:

1. An unreserved effective mana pool that is roughly 40% of your health pool
2. A means to regenerate mana quickly and efficiently
3. No large reservations of your mana pool for auras
4. An Enduring mana flask is recommended

The base layout of this build takes a number of mana nodes to make effective use of this keystone including Arcane Will, Deep Thoughts, and Righteous Decree among others. It also utilizes the Bubbling Mana flask that I talked about above.

Ghazzy made a pretty nice MoM effective utilization calculator here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bE0mOtgYsmDx-v2G-6iq-bOsiLp7I_yGMFHYHS__dxw/edit#gid=690621205

You can make your own copy of it and set the settings to match these:

Obviously replace the life, mana, and ES with your own values. That will tell you if you're making effective use of MoM and how much more mana you should get if you need it.

Got myself a new wand <3

Dps: 2.2mil+ per skeleton

Hp: 6100
Es: 2000
Mana: 2000

Will continue to min max this lovely build when i get more currency.
