[3.9] Pure Phys Skeletons & Friends Necromancer — Beginner/SSF/Budget Build

This passive helps with defence: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Indomitable_Army

And I just bought Bloodbond Chest to get me and my minions more life and some damage boost on demand.

I was looking at trying out Bloodbond the other day, but decided against it because of losing the +1 skele enchant. Do you find the skeletons actually stay alive longer/live through boss/metamorph AOE with bloodbond?

When I have zero minions, go into a map, and spawn just skeletons, they die so fast and do no damage to monsters. What's going on? I followed the passive tree exactly and have pretty decent items with Vaal Skeletons in a 5L.

If you don't have indomitable army (you need to get it with oils on amulet or explicitly path there contrary to the tree until you can annoint) then your skeletons will die fast on a melee/phys reflect map.

Otherwise they should live out their time more or less all the time.

If you make your charakter tab public I can take a look tomorrow.

Loving the build so far. Started in a private league with some friends, really nice to progress to red maps. Now we migrated and I got new wands. So good damage. Really no need for melee splash anymore. Thanks for the guide!

I would say this is normal, usually people have Zombies meat shields and 2 Golems, they live long, but as for Skeletons, I almost always recast them, they really don't live that long, especially if there a lot of AOE enemies.

But they not only die quick, they do zero damage in those few seconds they're alive.

It's even on non melee/phys reflect maps...

Hey, first of you should not use Earendel's Embrace together with Brutality.
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Avatar_of_Fire
Here it says "Deal no Non-Fire Damage"
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Brutality_Support
And here it says "Supported Skills deal no Elemental Damage"

So your Minions actually do zero damage. They can't do physical and they can't do elemental damage. This is a physical build. You could just use no weapon and would do way more damage and your Minions will stay alive longer.
(Also because of the weapon effect "Summoned Skeletons take (15-30)% of their Maximum Life per second as Fire Damage").

So just use any other weapon. You could use a Femurs of the Saints for less than 1 chaos. After that just try to level your gems and your character a bit more.

Is Multistrike better than Ruthless for single target dps?

Here is gear btw, do you think it's ready for t16 and beyond? (jewels are 1 abyssal with taunt and 3 to dusts)

Any suggestions on what to improve first? Been using Animated Guardian setup for extra ms and damage as well.
Ok, so for you people that are far more experienced in summoner builds I have a few question :

Based on my POB my minions are not max rez even though i sacrificed some damage on my wand to get them some resists , are your minions capped ?

Melee splash is a good ideea, but since the carrion golem does a lot of aoe, I don't think it's necessary , from your experience is multistrike or ruthless better ?

I find zombies to be idiots, do we really need brutality on them ? For now I swapped minion life to feeding frenzy, but I fear that they will die a lot, so I am thinking of dropping brutality for feeding frenzy. For me Brutality seems worthless since they never go outside my area to actually do any damage. Better have some damage from them rushing the enemy than nothing.

And last but not least, I think I asked this before, is the helm enchant +1 zombie / +1 skely worth it ? Or should I craft the minion resistance on it and get a wand with minion damage. I won't cap the resistances nevertheless, but If I get an answer to my first question it might not be the case.

If anyone is willing to explain I can drop a pob if needed. Thanks for the time and please note It's my first summoner, after the first attempt in beta poe when I didn't know shit about the game.
Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party.
hello, i was wondering if adding impale is worth using for skeletons or just add a dread banner for a little bit of impale, is that worth it?
