This build needs some reworking even when based on legacy items. The guide states to use life+resist jewels, while most people on late posts suggest flat elemental damage. Even the op stopped using ventor's gamble + fertile mind and uses Grace instead of Wrath.
Agreed, the guide is a bit of a mess right now, should never have included legacy items imo.

Actually I'd prefer this guide to stick to Standard league, with all legacy items. Even this is what the op intented to do, according to hiw note/warning, there are some confusing info.

Why would you prefer it? It's a guide aka, making the build viable to people who cannot make a build for themselves, i don't see how the relevance of legacy items is good for a guide? I could however understand him adding them at the end as end game goals. It's bad to make a build already using legacy item's because a vast majority of people are not on standard right now believe it or not, most are on the current league as always.
Would be nice to evaluate map mods. Mods we want, mods we don't want to run with this build. i.e. elemental damage reflection is deadly, elemental resistances and hexproof makes clearing a bit slower etc.

As the op states in the guide, this build was meant to be ran on legacy items. It still runs on nerfed versions but legacy really makes it smooth. You might notice op stating this in multiple answers, even on some warning text on first post. Just think of +iiq support gem, which boosts the main goal of this MF build.
