Firstly, thanks for the well-written guide!
I've been playing around with the build in PoB and messing around with some old standard characters, and my main question so far is whether Accuracy is a concern or not. Mine seems to be ending up in the mid- to low-80s. Are you doing anything that I'm missing to increase accuracy? Or is it playable with at that low %? |

Well, if I would use this build as a season starter (which I really would like to do) I obviously would not have Windripper. So what is it I should use or try to aim for until I can get my hands on one? I mean you made it pretty clear that this is all around Windripper and there is no other choice, but what do when using this league as a starter build?
Or just dont use it as a starter? :D | |
" There're a lot of factors in play here. In an early league it's very difficult to run any bow build, especially one revolving around a windripper, however it is possible to use death's opus as a replacement to it. Then comes the issue that queen of the forest is pretty expensive at league starts, so you can either get lucky and drop it or be content with much slower speeds until you get the currency for it. After this you'd probably have some damage issues since decent jewels, at least one 5link with a death's opus and a queen of the forest is relatively expensive so you'd have to sacrifice jewels. So all in all I wouldn't personally do it as a league starter but rather play something cheaper (e.g. a melee raider) then swap over to it when you have the currency. egg

Hey, are you sure it won't work in 3.5? Demi said you are just going to be a bit slower and rely more on abyss jewels.

" It'll be worse, but playable. I just would rather play something else if I were playing in league as there are builds that are so much faster that the quantity bonus of the windripper is no longer worth it with the slower queen and the worse windripper. (though in standard with a legacy evasion queen and a legacy windripper it's still perfectly fast enough to justify) egg

" Its not the windripper nerf that's the main problem, it's the queen. You get 25% less speed from it now so a build with as much quantity (other than the windripper itself) could easily outspeed it by a large amount, and speed is a quantity multiplier. Please feel free to continue using the build but it just isnt going to be as good, will become more expensive due to more reliance on higher end abyss jewels and 6link for damage, as well as performing even worse at lower levels, so yes you can continue using it and I will myself on standard but it just cant match the speed of other builds and thus not have the highest output of effective quantity. egg
