[3.4] Blood Magic Detonate Dead Totem Chieftain (Boss Killer/Mapper. All Map Mods!)

Neat build, gonna try it out some time =)

You can save a skill point by connecting to the tree with the intelligence node above Light of Divinity and removing the 2 intelligence nodes next to the jewel socket above Devotion. Personally, I would also remove the armour nodes in the Marauder starting area for another jewel socket or something.

Thank you - I updated the tree accordingly.

I kept the armour nodes, as I didn't take it for the armour but for the .5% life regen and the 3% movement speed. Is there any jewel out there that can give me that as well?

Im kinda wondering what people think about 3.3 for this w/changes? Meta-ish?

How high tier can I go with it cheaply in gloves and belt mf?

Yeh the ignite changes make this lucrative - maybe it's worth swapping Ele Focus with Ignite Prolif or some other Burn-related support - definitively worth a try. How good it is as MFer I can't say - I never played one... you will definitively lose a lot of life this way so the build may no longer Shaper/Guardians viable but I'm almost 100% certain that you can still delete T15 bosses easily...

I really like your build and I started to play with it for this league.
I like out of the box builds like yours and detonate dead is a great skill.

I have many n00b questions for you and also perhaps a request.
- could you or any of you post their Path of Building skill tree here?
It will be very very helpful.

Now for the questions:
would this concept of build applicable with a Scion.
The idea would be this one: an hybrid character: Totem detonate dead scion coupled with some minions and using the minions instability node. acendendcy would be chieftain and ??? (inquisitor/Necro/hiero)


Let me know your thoughts about it.

Hey Carrelel - glad you're liking the build! With the changes to ignite this should be very interesting in 3.3 - let me know if another support gem other than ele focus turns out to be stronger!

About Scion - the build works probably very well as Scion (Chieftain/Elementelist is probably very good) - but I'm not super sold on combiuning it with minions. You'll be super socket starved and toolbar starved and because of the limited amount of passives you will have to sacrifice DD damage or minion damage (minion instability only makes sense if you heavily invest into minion life).

I also realised hybrid build will be socket and node intensive on this build.
I was looking at the different new item and got this idea looking at Earendel embrace which set on fire your skellie. the idea was to get some short term burning minions, exploding once used...

I like also the scion alternative which allows us to take chieftain as first ascendency and then set anything possible for extra damage or renewing the fun of the build (hence the hybrid idea).

I am having a blast with the build and watched your youtube video about it.
I am currently lvl 33 and it feels good. I can only summon 1 totem so far and i am wondering few things toward your build.

I know you spent time testing and trying, let me know what you think of these:
- how many totems do you need to feel and easing mapping and bossing?
- carcass jack is cool, how about an alternative chest such as soul Mantle, or loreweave?
- Is there any new unique from Incursion you would add into the build


I am not 100% into ancestral bond. I like to be able to participate a bit in the action. I was considering using spells or even righteous fire but i am not sure it would be compatible.

Also Scion with Hiero and chieftain would have additional totems which leach life. Perhaps Scion nodes could bring more raw power and sustainability. I am not a build maker so i don't have answer for this.
