Is it possible as a league starter or you wouldn't recommend it?

This build is challenging, you need to dodge, stutter step etc. you know, you need to actually play the game. I enjoy it, personally never understood the appeal of "get 10k hp and tank every hit" builds. With new VP it will get even more challenging.

If you play it right you can get a lot out of this build, I have a video up where I killed shaper 10 times in under 1 hour with this build (died like 4 times during the whole run).

I'm going to be playing and testing it in 3.1 so if you're unsure you can always check this thread for my progress.

are you gonna update this tree for 3.1 changes and the budget 5c version ? would like to play it as a league starter

Definitely digging this, hopefully it will work with the new expansion!

3.1 Tree concept



A few notes:

1. Not sure how needed vitality void (https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Vitality_Void) will be. Might be needed until we can get Soul Raker with Lioneye's Fall. Same with Mana Leech node, one might be needed until Lioneye's Fall.

2. Abyss jewels seem to be pretty OP, we might pick up more jewel slots if they turn out to be.

3. Graceful Assault (https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Graceful_Assault) is probably worth to pick up when leveling.

So hyped about the new content and the new league and awfully glad that this build seems to work well.

I was thinking of picking up Void just for the QoL change. With VP it will be fairly potent.

Another question would be, is claws of pride worth picking up if we are using that gem? 16 physical dmg 40% crit, 20% crit multi and 16% ailment looks enticing. Also just noticed From the Shadows which would be easier to get to by a point and is still very good. I guess with soul raker you wouldn't need Void.

Dude just read carefully, u picking void before u re able to buy Lioneye's jewel.

Im gonna start with this build too, its looks like challenge with 2.5 sec to fully recover life.
Also, ive got feeling that there will be new unique that increase max leech cap.

Yeah but you need 4 nodes for that so turns out 5% multi, 10% crit, 4% inc damage per node, not too bad I guess might be worth trying out.

there are a few nodes, mostly dps that are available for easy pickup until you can get Lioneye's fall or other good jewels. For example:

Deadly Draw, Sniper, Aspect of the Lynyx + travel nodes, also 2 more life/evasion nodes near Revenge of the Hunted

Yeah just have to wait and see. How expensive is the Lion's Eye gem generally? Most of my cyclone builds in the past never used unique gems so I've never priced them. Those Abyss gems could be really amazing, only time will tell. Then there is the shaper/elder gear which could change things up as well. Lots of unknowns in this patch.

Going the dagger route would give an average of 9.3% phys dmg, 8% crit multi, and 20% crit per node.
