[3.3] MF Windripper Deadeye | TS and Barrage | PoB Link
And few more questions.
1) What maps will be better for leveling (with killing bosses on them)? 2) Priority for upgrades. Quiver, lioneye's fall, ventors, bisco or other items. My chars are public, you can look at my char Ripped_Wlnds. 3) At what point should i respec from deadeye tree to dps ranger and what items should i change then. Thanks for everybody, who will give me any advices :) Didn't play with archers before nor mf builds. Last edited by faraddox on Mar 24, 2018, 8:21:21 AM

" Because you're not trying to go through map runs as fast as possible with MF gear or not trying to push the char to the limit when it comes to clearing. In which the most important thing are movement (speed and blink arrow recasts) and damage projection (or to put it simply, range). There's no chance a Raider can clear maps faster than Deadeye, no matter what you do. The ascendancy differences just won't allow that to happen. Say with Raider you take Veil + Slaughter, with MF gear and 7 Frenzy charges, that's 30% increased movement speed, say you have 8, that's still 32%. Deadeye's Tailwind is 100% increased movement speed from that one ascendancy alone, this is not even mentioning Fast and Deadly's cooldown reduction for Blink Arrow. You can get Onslaught easily with Deadeye as well, with Silver or gem+HoI. And honestly, I don't even remember when the last time I was frozen when I'm mapping, grabbing Flask of Heat is also a non-issue. I don't even think I ever needed any more than one Quicksilver flask. No offense, but how do you run maps anyway? I almost never ran out of Quicksilver charges since you'd be killing stuff along the way and the effect's always up during mapping. Now clearing wise, on Deadeye, Endless Munitions, Far Shot and Richochet are all specifically designed for hitting things as far as possible. Deadeye is inherently designed to clear things off screen. Which made a huge difference when you're trying to go through 50 stacks of Burial Chambers or Dunes or Strand or whatever all at once, as fast as humanly possible. It's about min maxing, Deadeye is just too suited for Windripper MF, which is arguably one of the best MF map runner in the game atm. Raider is more of an all rounder, it has higher overall DPS, which is very noticeable when you're trying to do higher tier maps which zapping through maps like a madman just doesn't work anymore. Raider is also better for boss kills. But short version, why most MF ranger you'll see is Deadeye, because Tailwind & F&D is broken AF, it allows you to gain some pretty insane movement speed if you actually try pushing it as high as possible, and it allows you to get really high effective crit chance (which is necessary for a consistent IIQ bonus from WR) without relying on flat accuracy on gear which is harder on MF setup due to ventors on any other ascendancy. " I would grab spirit void near vaal pact. I can say the .8% from the claw node does smooth it out significantly.
" I'm saving up currency for lioneye's fall atm and then i'll respec some nodes for claws :) What maps can i farm safely atm? I also can wear sadima's and goldwyrm for farm, but with them i have my resistances not capped, just using rares for safer lvling. Thinking about qotf for farm atm, cause it have some resistances, which my yriel don't have. Last edited by faraddox on Mar 24, 2018, 12:15:57 PM

What would I grab instead of Icebite when you're deadeye?
I see no point in running it unless you are a raider. |
|
" Ice bite give 15% chance to freeze and windripper give 15% quantity when slain frozen enemies. Still no point in running it?
im lvl 90 now and i think i can give some tips for those who struggles and lost.
you need good gear for this build to shine, but if you cant afford it yet: 1. if you are low on mana, you need Lioneye's Fall Viridian Jewel so you could use those claw leech nodes. if you cant afford it, use Essence Sap until you do. 2. get a 5L Windripper with 5 green sockets, you will want to link TS with GMP-Added Cold (lots of damage)-Ice Bite (for frenzy charges, at higher levels you have like 7 of them which makes a lot of difference)-Faster Attacks. you dont need Mirage Archer really, IMO. when you can afford a 6L add Elemental Damage. you could go for ele focus but you will need a lot on INT. 3. after a 5l bow you would want to start using the Dying Sun flask, it will help you with map clearing. 4. Rigwald's Quills also useful for map clearing due to Fork. 5. most of my resistance comes from the rings and belt. you dont have to use Ventor's Gamble for now, just look for a good res ring in POE.TRADE, use the filters. those rings shouldnt be expensive, same about the belt. * you dont need to cap the fire res at 75 because once you start using Dying Sun it will give you +50% fire res and +6% to max fire res. 6. i never bothered with Barrage, i mostly avoided bosses in maps. if you are still in the acts, just ask for help in the global chat, there are very kind people out there :) 7. get 20% quality gems, it makes a lot of difference. mostly your attack related ones that on your 5\6L. for my other gear you can look at my profile, but currently im using: #Devoto's Devotion for evasion, movement speed, attack speed and chaos res. #Queen of the Forest for massive evasion, some res and most importantly-SPEED, at higher levels you have 30K evasion so you could have +100% move speed easily. with flasks i get over 200%, whick is 3 times faster than normal speed :P any other build will feel like you are playing in slow motion :) #Maligaro's Virtuosity, nothing special really, just some evasion and dmg. Atziri's Step for evasion, move speed and a bit of life. for mapping, avoid maps with: ele reflect, so you wont kill urself. temporal chains, just feels slowww with that mod. also i only did bosses on low tier maps until i felt tanky enough. if enough people want me to, i could make a short video on how i map. but mostly its a flask simulator :) you always want to use it before you attack. could i use a 6l lioneyes glare until i can afford the windripper?

" I could sustain my mana quite easily using only 1 mana leech node around the Vaal Pact area and a %0.4 mana and life leech enchant on my boots. |
