" I really like your choices within the deadeye ascendancy! One can argue about going endless munitions instead (the traditional path) - but that's 4 points for a +1 proj and a tiny bit of AoE clear with far shot. I agree with your logic when it comes to extra projs (in the end game) Fast and deadly is an incredible node for leveling and dmg overall. The accuracy might not look too useful (two patches ago you would get 3*T1 on the gloves + jewellery and be fine.. It's not like there was too much going in in these slots.) IMO things have changed drastically with all the new shaper/elder/lich items and having some extra flexibility might pay off. Same with the pierce 2-pointer. It might look useless, but you free up a gem slot for TS, 3 passive points in case you are using drillneck and so on. I'd rather take a juicy abyssjewel instead.. Pathfinder is ofc still very good as is raider. You can also start with deadeye and switch after acquiring ToH+dying sun or so. I've just spammed too many pathfinders at a certain point ..;) @clear getting bad with PB/ without chain: I don't think so. Even 5l windripper (inferior to DFP) with trashy mf gear offers an excellent AoE-clear. There are a bunch of hotfixes available as well (rigwalds, lightpoacher, certain abyss jewel combos, QotF) if things still feel wrong Last edited by juerk on Feb 28, 2018, 10:15:32 PM

" Just to be straight up honest, I don't really have time to theory-craft the deadeye portions, but if you guys wanted to do it, I will incorporate any and all notes you have into the thread for others to read and learn from. On the face of it, raider still seems really good for the budget version. Pathfinder for high-end because the build revolves around all flasks being active at the same time and all res's being balanced 100% for maximum defense and offense. When this is done properly (even in league), we don't suffer on the damage at all. What we want to do is focus on survivability. Pathfinder provides us immunities to all elemental status ailments, as well as helping to ensure our flasks are up 24/7. This will be even easier to make sure our flasks are always up because we'll be gaining 3x the amount of flask charges every 3 seconds via ascendancy. Don't forget we also get global pen, move speed, and other goodies that are great for us. The amount of defense pathfinder brings is complimented nicely by global damage boosts for this build. You can go through PoB all you like, but proj weakness does more damage than any other curse for us. The secret is in the increased damage taken from projectiles. It even outdamges elemental weakness. Pierce is nice, but doesn't matter at all as part of the curse to us. For single target barrage, all we need is to be able to pierce 1 target. That's all that matters. However you want to get it, go for it! It's just the easiest way for us using a +1 arrow drillneck is to get it on the tree. +1 arrow is great for barrage. Clearing, it doesn't matter too much. 🎆🎆 www.youtube.com/c/Ahfack

" IMO yes it matters. I focus on getting res on only belt/gloves/boots and use jewels for overflow balance. You shouldn't have to spend 20ex to balance your res. Sit down one evening and just juggle the numbers. All you have to do is do it once and you're done. res on belt res on boots res on gloves 12-15% single res on jewels 10-12% dual res on jewels 10 all res on jewels divining stuff to make it work do the math! Searching poe.trade for affordable items with a range of res's that could work for you. Use a range search function like res between 42-45 if you need 44 etc.... its worth spending some divines if you can get good gear for cheap. 2 out of 3 res balanced isn't bad, but if you read wise oak, the bottom-end res is your defense, and the top-end res is your offense. Balance them all 3 and they all 3 are defense and offense. It's a HUGE damage upgrade and a really nice defense upgrade as well. Shop smart about it. I balanced my res with a 1ex belt, 3ex gloves, and 4ex boots that are all pretty nice. Used 15fire res on 1 jewel to help compensate. Had to throw a few divines but all in all I'd say it was less than 10ex altogether. 🎆🎆 www.youtube.com/c/Ahfack

Before my res where equalized it was like the dark ages.I play only standart no time for league and one of my first investments after the core gear was legacy flasks its crazy and when u balance wise oak the dps is insane. Would you recommend using LA with the original build or TS is still better.+

Does that look like realistic league starter items? I tried to remove all legacy and expensive stuff (like legacy prism and +1 arrows stuff). https://pastebin.com/kW1LBhGm

Looking to play this build for Bestiary League it looks really fun that said I have a question.
I am quite confused when it comes to resistances in the build/wise oak flask do I not have to get at least 75% resist to all elements from gear because having wise oak flask active provides so much elemental resists(will I have the flask up 100%?). Just some clarification on resistance/wise oak would be greatly appreciated since I've never played a build utilizing Wise Oak. | |
" I am not sure that I've understood your question correctly, but you will end up undercapped pre flasks. This is something to get used to - but fairly manageable with pathfinder (2x+ flask uses, long flask duration, perma uptime while mapping). Probably THE reason for pathfinder as the ascendacy of the choice in this thread (with other ascendacies you would need to change the setup a bit for better reliability). I'm thinking about doing that build as a league starter in Bestiary league. The problem is that it's hard to afford Dying Sun at the start of the league, especially for someone who don't really have time for grinding 24/7. Dying Sun is needed to do the trick with Wise Oak. What if I can't use Wise Oak that way? Is there any alternative option for this?
Like... what is the best way to use Wise Oak without balancing resistances and using Dying Sun? I'm not a fan of playing with uncapped res (even if I know that I'll have max res post-flasks). Despite that, I want to try it but balancing Wise Oak seems not easy to achieve even in end-game. |
