Edit: I dont have all the gems because I dont have all the right colours on my gear.

Ok so are you saying 6L is not that important for this build? I know you even can do lab with no link chest as OP said many times, but, what's the real difference then, between a 4L, 5L, and 6L? Because the cost diference is huge.

@Lillotus It's way easier for others to give critique if you make your character public and/or provide a pastebin for Path of Building. Just a couple guesses, without a 5L on your QoTF, swapping to a Tabula is probably better. Spending a couple chaos on a level 20 blade vortex gem makes a big difference as well.

No point in trying to 5L/6L your chest if it doesn't have 6 sockets. Use the vorici socket method to get proper colors on gear.

Arcane Surge should be kept at a lower level (lvl 7 is OP's recommendation) to ensure it procs consistently.

A corrupted lvl 20 (not 20% quality) blade vortex gem is available for 1 to 2 chaos. A better ring, amulet, and shield could probably be find for 1-2 chaos each as well (life is really important). I would personally get a strong, regular belt (leather, rustic, etc.) over a weak vanguard belt.

I would also roll new flasks (ex. get a white jade flask, quality it, and then alteration until you get good mods).

5L means you don't have to swap to a Tabula and can carry uber lab for another person. 6L is purely for QoL. If you're just running lab (and don't plan on using the QotF for another char like a wander), I wouldn't bother. I personally hate mapping with this char, but ymmv.
