I could elaborate tho. This game hardly requires any mechanical skill. It's all in the build making.

Well, if there's not much skill involved, why mention girlcan? I mean look, Rup would be the last to admit I have any technical skills in regards to moving rapidly to avoid getting hit, or figuring out how to get closer to someone, or a whole mess of other things, but he doesn't play my builds, and he isn't me. But if it's just the build, then all girlcan has is fast cast speed and big AoE. I'm not gonna make this some huge pissing contest because I can o my give so much of a shit. But to imply that it doesn't take skill to pvp kinda irks me.

Back when things were a bit more simple, the blast from the past days, I'd argue (and by "argue", I mean "generalize with abandon ") that the non-TS builds DID require thinking and technical skill, and I had a lot of fun in those regards with ice spear shotgun play.

I remember way back getting queued against AXN. He was using RF + melee with gale bane (back when nobody had mirrored weps yet). It was a whacky combo but still rekt me back then.

I think this is because you need a different perspective.

Have you played other games that are more combat oriented? Obviously you can't play PoE if you're mentally challenged and missing both arms, but the mechanical skill required (as in your actual actions in PvP) are extremely minimal when put up against other games with similar combat. To the point where anybody could be gifted an already built character and figure it out rapidly enough that the difference in his skill would blur with the skill of veterans here. There's hardly a learning curve (if we could even call it that).

That's why I find pissing contests about PoE PvP skill in this unbalanced, skill-less environment ridiculous. It provides nothing else but a bit of fun and a way to use a character you've developed in a different manner.

The reason I mention jorge and lapiz is because they have more than 2 or 3 buttons to press (albeit not that many more).

My gaming background, specifically PC gaming, is primarily FPS-based. It's mostly how I got started, and plenty of them required that I be able to aim in some way. I'll even tell you, huge stint in HL2:DM, L4D2 (mainly as a sniper in what passes for a PVP mode in that game), Borderlands 2, my top 3, and all can be fairly hectic. BL2 is something I endured playing with girlcan and buttgags. My arms are STILL sore from all that carrying!

But again, I'm not coming from a place of hostility, but none of you are me, and I can really only tell you what things I take into account in a PVP match, none of you know what I'm doing in regards to movement and such. I do try to move around as much as possible, and sometimes the fact that I can aim does help, but it doesn't matter when the damage is so overtuned, matches can be won in less than a second's encounter.

One day in sarn Rlow was camping hill. I tried for 1 minutes to turn around him lunching salves of spectral throw at him.

Few time I though he used flame dash, might have dreamed.

Never seen someone not moving like him while camping hill and spraying WI everywhere around

When his life finaly almost goes to 0 he decided to push his win Glacial button and I got 1 shot from that and some other proj.

he said to me : "good effort it almost worked... if only you had skill"

His skills of being immobile was over the top. . Glacial cascade passing over walls and shit without needing to change direction and move was also a masterpiece of art.



Another time I met him with a bower and split arrow.

I rushed toward him since he was talking to evilist saying : "rlow u so cute!" but he just killed me like a cold blooded monster while I was unarmed and friendly.

I proceeded to kill him few time with magma orb and fireball but got tired to kill him when he kept harassing me and only me :( so I afked

I was jealous of Evilist, seems Rlow was enjoying his presence while I was kind of a dirty spot he tried to erase.


Best memory and oldest one was Once or two I seen him in 1 vs 1.

Spreading WI everywhere like a mad man. Since I was using melee at that time it was kind of
sad for me. Managed to kill him twice with leap slam and bleed. It was before door s boots.

He was again showing his master skill at not moving and spraying WI everywhere. I fell in love that day of such beautiful sight and the man under a rain of silver death.


It s all good sport tho, I enjoy the man and it is always fun to see him teach hello kittycatcore how to use WI.

I encounter so many people I shit talk, I can't even remember any of this.



I'm sure the evilist thing happened exactly like that, only I ignore him.

As for using (spamming) icestorm, it does depend on who I'm fighting. More mobile characters require more mobility, others don't. It does depend on who I fight, how much I love and how often. And fuck your door boots! Let me just bleed people in peace!

I concur will Mulla, everyone was/is so bad... especially that 2h melee guy way back when who used to weapon swap to EA when he/she was in "danger" of losing a round vs a much lesser melee build.

ice storm cheese is annoying as hell. i don't know why, but that skill kills my cpu sooooooooo much more than anything else. by a factor of ~10.

it's fps: 1 (literally drops below 3 and stays there) for me, and i lag so hard that i just can't do anything.

it should be a great matchup for me: switch a ring to dream fragments and pwn away. but it doesn't matter when i just lag to death with no frames.

The sword was just there for showing + flicker strike to get ontop of someone
