Why is everyone wearing duo ToA? Doryani's catalyst in off-hand provides more damage. And the new shaper claws with extra cold and extra lightning is prob better than catalyst.

no Doryani's doesn't provide more damage, just checked it in PoB. I lost about 10 % dmg trying replace one of ToA.

Once you get the tombfist with two abyssal slots, which gems do you decide to keep and which gets dropped off?
Hello,

First of all thanks for the build :)

I've some noob questions, sorry for it :p...

How work the Assassin's Mark?
I've linked like it's said in the build => • Herald of Ice -> Curse On Hit -> Assassin's Mark –> Hatred
It's when the Herald of Ice aura hit, it Curse onn hit the Assassin's Mark?

Anyway if someone can have a look to my character and tell me what to upgrade? (Char name Lahya__) and what links to pu in my helm? :)
is it viable to pick essence sap while leveling if you got mana problems?
you can specify the blue gems in Tombfist ? pls

your build is amazing :3

How and why would you think that would be a good idea.
Think about the amount of nodes we've invested into LoH and Life steal, and also damage with claws.
How do you guys have 140-160K DPS on frostblades tooltip??? I am lvl 73 and i only have about 35k-45k dps on tooltip when i have my buffs up, i think... Also for Amulet would it be good to use The Halycon?? its pretty sick imo... Also how do i upload pics of my gear into the post??? Do i just hit ctrl+c over the item ingame? I noticed we use the Ascendancy that says "You gain phasing while you have onslaught." Where are we getting Onslaught from??? I have an EYE jewel with 6% chance to gain onslaught for 4 seconds on kill or am i supposed to be using Onslaught Flask??
Also for eye jewels does it matter if the damage is cold, lighting, fire, phys?? I assume not but i noticed most of you guys have cold dmg to attacks and cold dmg to claw attks jewels. Should i be getting 4 damage mods on Eye Jewels or Crit Multi + Dmg Mods + max life?

Also why does this build say to use Atziri's Step??? Doesn't seem that great to me unless using a QotF. Also your build shows alot of 4L setups but u say to use Tombfist and Lightpoacher, which have 2 slots and 3 slots respectively, so which skill gems are u running if that is the case?? Nice build btw its alot of fun i just wish i had over 100k+ dps.. lol maybe when i hit lvl 90 and fill out more of the tree.

edit: So atm i am lvl 73, I am using Tabula, Darkness Enthroned Sytgian(2 sockets +50% increase jewel bonus), and Lochtonial Caress Gloves for lvling. Obviously i should probably replace these items as i just finished ACT 10... What chest, gloves, belt shud i get? I am poor mofo... like 300c max... Ill never be able to afford a Shroud of Lightless..

I took a look at your character, but let me answer some of your questions:

1. To show your gear in a post, go up to the top of the page where your character is and open up the character pane so it shows your inventory and the like of that current character. Then, hove over an item with your cursor and hit -> CTRL + Left Click (on mouse). If you do it right, you'll link an item like below:

You can do this for all items on your character and even jewels in your tree and the like and items in your stash, too.

2. Concerning your passive tree, here are a few recommendations:

-- Ditch the Vitality Void cluster and instead pick up Soul Raker in the Claw wheel. You get roughly the same amount of leech with far less point spent and if later on you feel you need VV, then go for it, but for now it's just a point-waster.

-- Drop Flash Freeze and the point before it in the cold wheel near the Ranger area. Again, wasted points that don't give you much benefit. Better off putting them in life or damage nodes.

-- If you're going to stick with Dual-Wielding, then consider traveling to the Ambidexterity notable right below the Duelist Frenzy Charge. Attack speed is very powerful for an elemental build and one of the best scaling stats you can use. The faster you hit, the more chances you have with keeping up status ailments since you're hitting so much and can proc them more frequently.

-- You mentioned the Quartz Infusion notable in your Raider Ascendancy and how you're supposed to get Phasing with Onslaught and how to get Onslaught. Read that notable again, as it has another stipulation -> "You have Phasing while at Maximum Frenzy Charges". This build doesn't rely on Onslaught...it relies on the notable "Way of the Poacher", which says -> "20% chance to gain a Frenzy Charge on Kill" or "20% chance to gain a Frenzy Charge when you Hit a Rare or Unique Enemy". You're supposed to kill and hit those specific enemies to keep your Frenzy Charges up, and if you keep them at the maximum amount you currently have, you'll have Phasing up during that time...Onslaught or not.

Personally, I suggest you remove those two Ascendancy points leading up to Quartz Infusion and instead put them in "Avatar of the Slaughter". If you really want Phasing in the meantime, then use a Quartz Flask. AotS not only gives you another Frenzy Charge (and all the benefits it brings by itself), but it also gives you a lot of additional bonuses for having all those Frenzy Charges up. That alone will give your damage a nice boost while running around and you can then build into Quartz Infusion and Avatar of the Veil later on.

3. As for gear choices...biggest thing that you and others should understand...this is a GUIDE for this build. It's not meant to be taken as gospel truth and gear choices are not set in stone, and just because someone says that something might be 'best in slot'...mathematically it could very well be, but the biggest factor in this...is you and your current situation. Some tips:

-- Drop Tabula Rasa and get another chest piece like Belly of the Beast, or even a nice Rare with some good life and resists. If you cannot afford a 6-Link, then use a 5-Link and drop one of your gem slots for it. Not having any real stats on your chest piece at this point is hurting your build and making it harder for you to survive, especially if you need resists. There are actually a lot of chest options to choose from, and many are far better than Tabula at this stage of the game where you're at. And again, you don't NEED Shroud of the Lightless...I don't use one on my build and I prefer what I have over it. However, it IS a VERY NICE chest, but not required.

-- Gloves...again, if you can't get Tombfist, then go after a pair of Rare gloves with stats on them you might need like Life, Accuracy, and resists. At this point you're looking for building more defense and balancing out your resists rather than just going for raw power. Power can come later, but you'll need to survive to gain levels and more passive points.

-- Belt...same as above, or if you can find a decent Stygian Vise, then go with that. If you can't, then a rare Leather Belt works nicely.

-- Helmet...if you cannot afford Lightpoacher, then you can continue to use the Rat's Nest, or go with a Starkonja's and don't worry about a lab enchant on it related to Frost Blades. The helmet alone will be a nice boost to both survivability and damage for you until you can get a Lightpoacher's.

-- Atziri's Step is a pair of boots that are mainly used for their good life roll as well as the spell dodge if you're going the Acrobatics/Phase Acrobatics route. Or, if you're using a chest piece like this:

Which grants the Phase Acrobatics keystone, so all you need to pick up is Acrobatics and the boots. Yes, you're losing out on resists over a rare set or something else, but up to an extra 16% Spell Dodge is nothing to sneeze at. Generally if going the Evasion route with a build like this, you'll have enough Evasion to evade a fair amount of ATTACKS, but Evasion DOES NOT work against spells, so the boots provide some defense for that. And Spell Damage can be extremely deadly, sometimes even more deadly than attacks.

All-in-all when it comes to gear, the biggest thing is to be FLEXIBLE and not think that your choices are set in stone. Build around what you have, and explore other options...don't use the guide as an 'It's this or nothing'...use it as a GUIDE and EXPERIMENT. And yes, you'll get higher damage as you fill out the tree, but that is something that comes with time.
