Heya :)

I guess that this question has been asked before, but I can't seem to find it :/

So I'm planning on running this build in HC, but the crown of the Tyrant is nowhere in the market. How mandatory is this item ? Meaning : if I can't seem to find the item, is the build totally irrelevant or what ?

Thanks for any reply :)

Ofc not. I mean the helm is great with the added lightning damage and the -to all resistances but it would take a lot more than that to COMPLETELY ruin a build. You are already planning on doing hardcore so I would assume you are already going to drop off some damage for some more defences. I would get a -lightning res helm with a lot of hp and maybe some res instead.

Thanks for this guide <3 , i couldn't find one for 3.13 and know if it was still viable !
I have a question during leveling in the tree, what are you looking for first to know which path to take first ? :p

Doesn't matter. Build has no real game changing notables and which way you path has little to do with things. That was more of an oldschool POE thing like 6+ years ago

Thanks mate ! Yeah you're right, I'm gonna try and get a nice balance between defense and offense haha.

Thanks again ;)

Also if you don't mind, can you take at look at my character, I am dying a lot in tier 3 but I've been trying to add as much defense as possible at all capped resist... thanks

im not sure how to link gears onto forum anymore

Only one instance of "exposure" can be applied to enemies. Whichever one is the strongest is the one that takes precedence. So while wave of conviction is amazing we already have a "nearby enemies" have fire, cold, and lightning exposure. So wave of conviction wouldn't do anything.

That being said ancestral protector is one of the best gems we have on the entire setup. The amount of attack speed it gives us in insane and is super useful for bosses/single target stuff.

Thanks a bunch for the explanation! That makes total sense. I've started to actively use ancestral protector now and indeed it makes a huge difference for single target combat.

Cheers!
Hey. I'm level 88 now and I never get further than 93/94. As the skill tree is for level 100 I wonder which nodes I can leave out or rather what would be your last 5/6 nodes you'd skill last.
You don't have great options for things to leave out, imo. You're either going to be losing a ton of damage, making red maps hard from a dps standpoint, or you're going to lose a ton of life, making red maps hard from a survivability standpoint.

I dropped a cluster jewel and took life nodes. I spec into one of the 4% nodes every time I have a spare passive then next level refund it to invest two into getting another jewel socket.

Still got a lot of investments left to make and several crafts that I'm working on. Many of my rares are just barely good enough to keep me at sufficient str/int/res while I work on the rest. I'm about to hit 91, have ~4.8k life, and my pob dps with slower proj is 350k. The going is slow, and I'm mostly doing t8-10 maps looking for crafts and currency. Beachhead is great for picking up levels, and if you're too squishy or low dps for t15, t10 is also pretty good.

The build feels good to play, but you need quite a bit of investment (from the perspective of a fresh league start) to move up in maps. If you're playing this now and are stuck in low maps, I'd say stick with the areas you're comfortable to farm currency, use pob to figure out which 1-5 ex upgrades give you the biggest dps boost, and slowly push with each upgrade. Doubling your dps will make another couple tiers of maps feel fine.
would you say 10ex is a good start for this build?
also the pob isn't updated for 3.13 yet?

Should be fine as a start.

Pob Works fine.
G00fy, I'm curious what you imagine a 10 ex version of this build would look like. For my first 10 ex, the build was certainly fun but not in any way end-game viable. Things are expensive. The sources of crit chance, crit multi, and flat lightning are expensive. Rares with t1 life, high str or int, and decent resists are expensive. When one goes budget on all of these things, dps decreases 50x.

Nircc, play with the pob, price check everything, and see what happens when you sub out expensive options for the best on the market that you can afford. Don't forget the jewels (they're currently 2 ex apiece, even with bad life rolls), the flasks, and the awakened gems (at least set them to lvl 1). See what happens to life with the gear you can afford, and the character level you can reasonably attain. See what happens to dps when you shift points into life nodes to compensate.

Buzzsaw is a classic build, and the pob clearly shows it can be powerful. But this isn't a build that's gonna feel ok at endgame on 10 ex. ~30 ex and some harvest crafting will do it. On 10 ex you're gonna be sitting at 200k single target dps with 4k life.

Build works completely fine on a budget and works also as a leaguestart. I did the exact build last league it is not that hard. Start off with a decent crafted claw and life/res on rares and things work fine. Same with jewels. Sure 3 mod or 4 mod jewels get really really expensive, but you know what isn't expensive? 2 mod jewel.

I did the same thing to the build I have now. life + attack speed on bows all 2 mod jewels and I slaughter everything. TBH makeing money in this game is so beyond ridiculous easy up to a certain point. Condensing and selling off other currencies, flipping occasional items, selling frags, selling maps, getting a few thousand chaos is really easy to do.

Starting off with 10 ex is plenty for the build and then you build on it from there.
