I was never a fan of starkonjas, we already have almost 6.2k life, we really don't need another life roll. We lose a good chunk of crit which is already low IMO. Also I was never a fan of the reduced damage while on low life. Due to leech and other things the last thing I want when im on low life even if its rare is to do reduced damage. Its really not worth it honestly. I mean the dps from ice bite with full frenzys to hypothermia is not that big of a difference, its a 20-39% more multiplier. Its not bad, but ice bite with 7 frenzys is not bad at all. Then again if you happened to roll monsters and % immune to status ailments its a waste. Just stick with ice bite.

Something else i'm wondering about though: Do you have those 2 Curse on Hit Setups just for the Culling Strike? Because i just realised that if i replace Culling Strike with Herald of Ice, i still have both CoH Setups but i'm using 3 gems less and can have a 4L Cwdt Setup with Increased Duration, Immortal Call and Ice Golem.

Not saying that this is better than your version but you mention somewhere that if one really wants a Cwdt Setup, they could replace Culling Strike and Slower Projectiles for a 2L but actually taking out Culling Strike frees 3 slots. :)

Ofc vaal pact is worth it :). As for the rest I don't know what you mean... If you moved herald to culling, you lose culling on your orb of storms, but yes you would still have both curse on hit setups. Orb is for single target curse application to bosses, herald of ice is curse application to the masses.

The problem is that CWDT and IC was never worth it to me w/o endurance charges and since it got nerfed and rekt and IC has been completely changed its incredibly not worth it even more so than before. You could put cull in the new 3 link setup but kind of pointless as we have all the gems we need and don't need any more links. I mean if you want to do cwdt that bad I mean go for it everyone has their own opinions/playstyles but I sure know I won't be changing mine and losing cull just go get a cwdt - IC.
Im having trouble keeping myself alive.
Currently level 92 and I just cant progress because I keep dying.

Most often it is to bosses that one or two shots me, or sometimes I die to simply mob packs.

Im never running any of the "no-go" mods on maps, so its not that killing me.

Have I done something wrong in my build or?

I belive it all looks decent.

What's your opinion on Damage on Full Life vs. Ice Bite?

Not a clue man. Every once in a great while you will die to something stupid if not careful like a minus max res ice nova from a strongbox but if you continually die or die to random mob packs, I don't have a clue.

Your not LL or CI build and you are not slayer to overleech and keep your life up, so my opinion is its a terrible gem for this build. Why would you want to run a gem that would drop you down to a 5l anytime you were not at full life from hits, or ground effects, or traps, or degen, or desecrate or poison or ignite or w/e else lol.
Really enjoying the build, at level 87 now and really starting to get in my stride.

I was looking at your updated screenshots and noticed you have 100% ignite/chill/freeze/shock avoidance... what is that coming from? Most of my other stats match yours but can't figure out that one.

a lot of builds the last points of ascendancy are good or "okey" but for us as raider the last points are fucking awesome, the QOL of having inmunity to Ailments is...simply the heaven
Hi guys.

Im trying to craft a claw (actually this is my first claw ever), as I decided its time to learn this aspect of the game.

I¨ve gotten a normal imperial claw iLvl 83, and I wanna ask which of these two is the correct way of doing it?



1. Orb of Transmutation -> Orb of Alteration until I hit tier 1 lightning dmg & tier 1 cold dmg -> Regal -> Hope to get attack speed or one of the other stats Goof is recommending for claw -> Exalt in hope of getting one of the 4th mods Goof recommends.



2. Orb of Transmutation -> Orb of Alteration until I get either of the stats I want (T1 ofc), then Orb of Augmentation -> If I get a 2nd roll that is part of the claw recommendation move onto regal orb, if not, orb of alteration.


Im a little unsure about the first step, do I use orb of alteration until I have 2 mods, or do I use alteration until I have 1 mod, then add the second one with orb of augmentation? Also, if the rest of what I've written is wrong please correct me. I've already watched a couple of crafting youtube guides but I can't seem to figure out how to craft a claw with the stats Goof is recommending.


(I already have a claw with 263 eDPS, 1.92 APS, so im looking to craft something better for my own use and not for sales purpose).

I know that it is most likely more worth it to simply save the currency and buy the claw I want, but for learning purpose, id still like to try and craft it myself.
Is this better than going HOWA?
