Hi all, read a lot of the posts and tried flat comparing some of my gear/skills to everyone elses.

The numbers you guys are throwing out (near 100k tool tip in hideout etc) seem miles ahead of mine, could anyone take a quick look at my gear and point out some big room for improvement options? I know my Crit Chance (PoB says 65%) is still too low and I could use some ring upgrade.

Thanks in advance.

Gear looks pretty good. Your claw is a big opportunity for a dps upgrade, attack speed is really important in this build. I think you'd be surprised how important 2 aps is compared to 1.9 for damage.

Also your gloves don't have attack speed either and your rings could be a bit better.

The guy claiming 99k GMP HO dps i'd be interested to know what his defensive stats are. Depending on the content your doing I would rather have healthy defenses than more damage. I feel as if i'm really well geared but i'm only at 68k HO dps, but i do have 5700 health.

I’m the guy, I have 5400 hp at 91 by 95 I’ll be around 5800.

Oops sorry for the double post had some high latency.

Update, killed shaper 3 times last night instant phasing him, Just dodged abilities. It was easier than last league.
I see what you're doing now. You're using elemental focus support instead of icebite. That boosts your damage by a massive amount. I was really confused before.

What are your thoughts about the Abyssal uniques for this build? The elemental pen on Shroud seems like it could be good. Similarly is it worthwhile to stack abyss jewels with flat ele on them vs going for typical jewels?

No to the uniques, yes to the jewels. The uniques though cool looking and having abyssal sockets (which are OP OP) are not that great. It is not worth losing everything we do on the rares or a belly to get the new uniques.

As for the jewels 100% absolutely. Every jewel is better by a huge margine and should consist of 2 flat ele rolls + flat life and end end game jewel would be 3 high ele rolls + flat life. You can check out the ones I use in my profile. Same as belt. Abyssal belt is by far > than any other belt in the game.

Ignore the numbers you are hearing from players like fireturd and 96k dps etc etc. While everyone plays the game different and they are more than welcome to do so this is not how I would suggest gearing at all. He swapped out gem for ele focus which on paper is a dps upgrade but make you lose all status ailments, every one of his jewels are 4 mod dmg jewels without any life at all, and on tree he has every dmg node and going the life nodes last, even his jewelry is all dps first and life/res low. He also swapped out gloves which is a huge defensive piece for dual abyssal socket tombfists just so he could rise his paper dps numbers. I absolutely cringe to think what his life/res is. Again nothing against his playstyle but spreading sort of "false" information to push paper dps to the general masses I would rather avoid.

When you are fully geared properly and aren't going for 100% glass cannon paper dps numbers, your hideout dps should be around 60k-65k. I still have 2 more levels I need, another jewel socket + a few upgrades I can get on gear still and some 21/20 gems and am sitting at 61k gmp hideout atm. Take things one step at a time, read guide carefully and you will get there.

My res are capped and my health is 5400 will be 5700-5800 in a couple levels? I don’t understand just cuz I choose to go a different way and it’s better than your way you have to write a post talking about what I did and how it’s stupid. Status ailments are not better, that’s just a fact. Same as last league, your reasoning to push them is because you like the freeze and shatter effects, which is fine as well. Many people I played with who were this build used ele focus. You made a great guide but doesn’t mean it’s the best or only way. I always give you credit for making an awesome build and a great thorough guide. Anyway, you don’t need as much dps as I have. Who cares it’s how I like playing and it works fine I rarely die.

Hey, really enjoying this build so far. Have done everything except uber Atziri so far. What do you guys think would be the next best item to upgrade.
Sitting at 67k Gmp Tooltip, could probably get alot higher with a few more 4 Dps Abyss Jewels, but i dont really want to sacrefice more life.

Current Gear:

I though getting a better claw/gloves and more 21/20 Support gems for Spectral Throw. Not sure though.

Screenshot of your HP / res?
According to a PoB import, his hp is at 5046 at level 91, resists are capped. Its ok i guess if you're keeping fortify up all the time. I have 5200 hp at 91 without belly and still melt everything with a 40k tooltip. Would rather take the hp for more leech rate and facetanking ability though.

POB doesn't count abyss jewels in gear. He has the damage/life/resists he claims to, its just he's not running the same build as the rest of us. You shouldn't compare your stats to his unless you are running the same setup as he is.
