Ha! That was funny. I can't seem to enjoy Battlerite for whatever reason. Maybe my skills suck too much, since the game relies upon it more.

I've always loved this game's pvp. So sad it's never been able to take off. :/

Battlerite has a very VERY steep learning curve.

I prefer the skill aspect of it. D2's PvP was mostly skill based too (at least on Classic D2, maybe not XPac too much) so I feel right at home with a skill game.

There is a much higher chance that anything will ever happen to it if it's getting overused, as we se after I posted it, instead of one guy using it and not telling about it. It was unknown to most people for a pretty long time, it was only a matter of time someone made it public.

The braindead crowd is still not that strong with it, they tend to be squishy, so there are options to workaround them, it's just not suitable / confortable to everyone, or requires too much of a build change (embrace the oneshotmeta).

As I see it sarn was already in a bad shape with offscreeners, trappers, miners oneshotting everybody, zerphi at least brings a change from the other direction.

Icedeal did that with EA, creating EA build when it was the most dominant and posted it on forum... GGG never did anything about it and Icedeal finaly erased his build because it was just creating more and more ea users.

Considering Nerfing zerphi would be equal to change a legacy unique I doubt they would do that quick.

Imo this whole zerphi shit will continue for a long time unless they nerf pathfinder for pve reasons.

Ho yea remember the EA+zerphi combo you did with 100 000k/sec regen? I sent it to DAN-GGG, had a discussion with him about it.

He just said the team will look at it but did not seem even bothered by it.

Nothing been done and I doubt they will do anything because this flask is shit in pve for now and every streamers who tried to use it died in HC from it.

Flask is op as fuck in pve as well, it's just less popular and very cpu intensive but there is definitely tons of people using it.

Yeah. I've had difficulty attacking/defending while moving. There's definitely a steep learning curve.

I added to my friend's list on Battlerite, a guy named *Edited*. Not sure if that was you. I was looking at your Youtube channel and surmised that was most likely your IGN?

I miss our CTF games here. :/ I took a break from POE to get some RL things sorted out. Was looking for work, got a job now, so I can pop in here and there on weekends.

We haven't done CTF in a very long time. Nobody participates. We tried to organize some here and there and it's just people giving bullshit excuses to not play. I barely log on anymore.

I just logged on now. Go to sarn and everyone's so fucking jaded and bitter, it's basically a shitfest of spawn camping and offscreening. Even with guildies and people on friendlist. No one gives a fuck anymore. Definitely a waste of time for me.

I'm gonna stick to battlerite until new league or 3.0.0. Maybe pop in for a few maps here and there.

The community made PoE PvP worse if that's even possible. They bent down on their knees and sucked the fun out dry. Bunch of grown ass men acting like children.

It's honestly kinda difficult to not be bitter in Arena. For things to have gotten as out of hand as they are now, and for so long. Plus, most of the things that have gotten out of hand could easily have been fixed from the get-go had GGG not just thrown in the towel so easily, just because a bunch of PVE fucks, who are the REAL toxic players, bitched and moaned because they weren't getting the spotlight. Now those toxic players are infesting our community with their bullshit because, since the power creep and neglect, they think they belong just 'cause they can get kills. Add to that the fact that we're just marginalized and ignored by the developers despite the fact that we put their PVP to use AND have supported them... a bit hard not to be pissed.

Back when GGG actually nerfed shit, the players who couldn't cope with the remote possibility that they weren't OP anymore actually left the game. Weak links, basically. A sort of survival of the fittest. But now, they're leaning more towards casual players because they need the money to keep shit running, they can't rely just on more hardcore players anymore, so it seems anyway. I don't think it has too much to do with the CORE members of the PVP community (us, basically), other than some of us blatantly using broken shit and not giving a fuck. I'd say it's more the newcomers who don't have the experiences we do, and haven't been shaped by it, and the lack of nerfs. eg, those who couldn't cope with nerfs would leave (think Dismantle) and things would be good, only the really dedicated would stay.
