I have a couple of questions for next event. Are we allowed to use the new skin of the loyal or skin of the lords if we limit it to 4L max, and are rare jewels allowed?

no to both

Can I have an explanation to this? What happens if we accidentally 5/6 link a 5/6 socket item and get a 5/6 link? I would not be willing to Vorici get rid of the 6 link or fuse over a 5 link and waste so much currency for the potential upcoming all out tourney you talked about wanting. If this applies only to the skin of the loyal okay, but why ban an item? I just don't see a problem in leaving a socket or 2 empty for these events. Thanks

A 6l is still a 6l even if you only use 4 sockets. I mean technically you could just throw 2 other active skill gems in there while still having 4 linked attacks/spells but you would have an advantage over all the other players. If you make the rule less restrictive you would have to make new rules in order for it not to be abused and that just makes life complicated exile ;-)

a 6L with just 4 gems in it should be perfectly fine. I didn't say anything about using two different active gems with 3 supports each. I said leaving the linked sockets empty. Your statement doesn't help explain anything to me here. I could see if the rules said 4 socket max, but I already have socketed gear and I would not be willing to change that.

It does not matter what you are willing to do since these are the rules and everybody has to stick to it.
It's even easier to scam for people if they just have to remove these one or two extra gems. If they change the rules just for you everyone wants the same treatment. And suddenly everyone runs around with 6 links that they don't use you know ;-)

People could have already been using 5/6 links. This entire thing is on the honor system and is for fun. I don't see where you are getting your logic from. To get rewards we have to have our profiles public anyway so anyone can check our gear mid fight to see what links we are using. Yours isn't even public. If you want to donate 150 fusings for me to get a 5L later then I will go ahead and unlink My stuff.

No you just have to make your profile public at the end of the tourney not the whole time. Mine is not public cause i don't participate in that particular tournament. Your 5l is even corrupted. Since you know the rules i assume you didn't vaal it by yourself so you have most likely bought it that way. Its not like its hard to get a decent 4l armour. Changing the rules for everyone just because someone wants to play with an unused 5l does not make sense and i strongly hope that pt will not allow that.

The best thing I can do to explain is the "illusion of fairness", yes it does mean you could accidentally get a 5link and have to get another chest. HOWEVER since these events are designed to be at lower cost and easy to jump in the problem should be easily solved. Practically if people are fair there isn't a different. In the presentation of the rules and making sure people are playing fairly, people will just make wilder accusations or whatever.

So, it's more presentation than anything. Hope this clarifies

That was my standard character way before pvp season 1 multiple years ago. My current character is on breach league and the 5L is my bow __R_E_D__. Making another bow like that will take a great amount of currency that I would rather not spend. A chest would be easy to replace, but the thing all your damage relies on is not. Most of the pvp community in these events know who I am and know that I wouldn't cheat.
well, i don't participate in this tournament, but my logic says that, you should make your profile open during whole tournament and admins gotta check your account frequently while you are in a match. if you do anything "wrong" you should be banned. but maybe admins dont wan't to spend their time to your special case so much. that's understandable.
"You have great power. You're right to be proud. It's unfortunate you have to die now, but I will honor you with 45% of my strength."
To be fair this isn't even a tourney. It's just queuing up for 1v1s where anybody can play with any rules. The people that are here just for PT's event just have to agree to use a 4L which I have always done and plan on doing.
