I'm extremely surprised this build thread does not consider Ice Shot. I have tested this back and forth with LA and TS, and I feel it is superior under essentially all circumstances. As a bonus you chill everything, which gives you 100% increased flask charges for every monster EVEN IF YOU USE ELE FOCUS. I can't say enough about how powerful this is. In addition it has 25% more base dmg than LA, and with Chain it certainly feels like it has a greater reach and penetration into packs and around corners. I've leveled three characters already, and Arc Elementalist which felt quite lacking, some other out-dated Ranger build and now this... kind of like the concept of this character but don't wanna keep farming it if what I'm gonna need is a thousand exalts worth of items. Then again, if I'm told it can work with 20~30e then I'll go for it. It can't work with insane gear, don't waste your time. This is not a budget build in any way at all. I find, again with Ice Shot (or increased crits instead of ele focus), because of Veteran Bowyer every single pack gives enough charges to provide a full use out of every flask except non-legacy vinktars. vinktar gives 20% leech. with just 60-70k dps, thats the only way you can facetank shapers beam this way. with standard league gear, yes you can facetank shaper's beam with acuities too. vinktar is also above everything solution for reflect. 20% leech vs über means, after you eat flameblast, you can kil fill your health from 1k to 10k ES with just 1 or 2 shots. this is very important. acuity can't provide such amount of leech with 350-400 pdps bows. also acuity in SC is 25ex, non leg vinktar is 1.5. vinktar + VP is tend to be more budget friendly. this build has IC + CWDT as far as i know? well, i don't use cause i don't need. blast and I try to tell people that master surgeon ascendancy is very important for budget version. those who follow the guide comments can see besides all these, i completely agree that people shouldn't follow blindly. Tryed it out works well against the majority of enemys in maps, but to be honest Barrage is way more superior against singeltargets the goal is to barrage bosses away in a matter of seconds not to have a nice skill thats fun to watch. For maps feels ok eventhough for mapplay i only need lightningarrow and for bosses barrage so there is not much room. Freezing target hmm yes if you have the budget version might be usefull, but when you break the point in therms of dmg there is nothing to chill because they instantly die. The most cruicial thing for me is arcing blows value is getting lost if you deal no lightningdmg and vinktars is also questionable then. Well it's definitly for each to decide, i for example didn't like lA or IS very much compared to TS. Maybe it's cause of the gear, dunno...On some bosses with hard mods I like TS much more even then barrage, like double vaal temple, double Overgroing ruins, Malachai or double malachai, and taking them down with LA or IS is a bad idea... For casual mapping LA is good for extreme mapping with double beyond+5-6 sextances and shit TS is the winner for me...
