As a developer to non developer - you cannot account for everything. People make mistakes and considering that testing is done by a handful of people there are no surprises here. Sure I agree. But if this mistake happens it should be fixed ASAP not after 3 years or more. When people invest time and lot of money around this mistake caused by dev.
