wouldn't the goal be to hitting the pvp soft cap around 5k ish and still be CI?

Also technically think I can hit higher dmg numbers than both I have fully crafted kris with flat and pen, mirrored shield level 100 char, 4 mod jewels(I think they've both bought a few from me?) etc and i don't think haunt has +1 shavs. Just sayin. (Not building LL caster anyways so meh)

but ya shouldn't goal be pushing CI damage as close to soft cap as possible?

Yeah i wish i had +1 shavs, i'm not going to vaal my legacy one though.

I always respected rupenus, before his LA he had a really good LS and then he pretty much "invented" with willie the LA meta.

Few month back Rupenus said the best way to balance pvp was that everyone could 1 shot everyone.

He had idea an alternative league with free mirror items should be created so everyone could 1 shot and then balance would be done.

I disagreed strongly with this idea but yea at least at that time he though 1 shot is not a problem but a solution, do he still believe that?


Bow skills are really broken, I understand a mirrored twine can 1 shot people, I think a mirrored sword should do that same. But when you see a 10c bow doing the same, you clearly can t deny bow skills are super broken.

Not surprising it is a bow skill Markusz used to demonstrate infinite regen. I here again disagree with rupenus, Bow users are the most tanky around.

They not only have mobility but they have skills like mirror arrow or blink who really can fuck up any melee attempt to hurt them unless the melee can 1 shot ( and this never ever happen with melee)

They also have build in super opi Dodge items, it is like GGG create ranged to have maximum dodge+offense, this new prophecy amulet is proof bows are in GGG mind the ultimate fun shit.

Next below to bows are mines and casters.

even Mullaxul and Afhak used to have swap bow in their build. YOu know something wrong with a game when melee need a bow lol.

So yea all point out bow are too strong and need a nerf.

I am sure markusz could bring a nice regen concept with a caster.
WOuld this be possible with true melee? doubt it.

Should pathfinder get nerfed? I think the flask mods should totaly get nerfed.
ALso I hope the dev will nerf the shit out Zerphi before mathil create a buidl with it. Imagine a similar build in pve with dps?

Lol I can t believe someone in the balance team let this flask pass, I guess LApiz/shin/markusz were smarter than the balance testers on this one.

Pathfinder definitely needs a nerf, and the witch flask nodes need to be changed to "non-unique" flasks. Things would get a little better with those two things implemented.

And come on man, you know they don't balance test anything. Rush it out and let the streamers catch it. Now that a lot of the streamers are leaving, it's up to us to sift through the bullshit.

I try not to get into arguments too much, but holy fuck bow builds are stupid.

On the same level as mines and traps if you factor in their ridiculous mobility and range. That with the 1 shots. I mean cmon...

I get that someone gets attached to the build/build types that they play. But you gotta be realistic. I got attached to my vortex trapper (especially in this degen and 1 shot meta. Low-mid tier investment and 1 shot all the things. I'm ok with that until we get some balance going), but no way in hell am I gonna defend it. Even if it has obvious counters, unlike most bow builds. The damage is too high.

Bow builds are like the mobile, more damagey version of 2.2 spark with SLIGHTLY less range. The difference here is that they've remained stupid forever and just keep getting buff after buff.

Winning by aiming in someone's general direction from 2 screens away isn't exactly a nice mechanic.

I don't understand, can you summon other players? Wouldn't that be bad as they get less base hp than skeletons. With 1.3.0, damage scaling has changed. It has been split into two algorithms -- one for physical damage and chaos damage, and one for elemental. In low-level play, damage is reduced by about 20% for physical skills, but is increased for elemental damage to compensate for assumed resistances. In high-level play, the damage reduction is much sharper.

In both tiers, the ability to one-shot your opponent is now very difficult. This, in combination with changes to the Acrobatics keystone and block values on items and the tree, means that total damage mitigation is a helpful, if unpredictable, bonus, rather than a game-winning factor. Game lengths have increased to be more satisfying and to give opportunities for moment-to-moment tactical decisions rather than crossing your fingers and hoping your opponent doesn't land a lucky crit.
