GhazzyTV - Beginner's Build: Lich Queen Skeleton Summoner [AWAKENER FARMABLE]

Hello, and thanks for this guide ! it's awesome, i'm running the mage version, atm lvl 76, and it's alright (only got to low tier maps atm).

I'm wondering, is queen's escape a good item to equip compared to brightbeak + victario's charity ? Since I have necromantic aegis (i could respec out of it if i use a 2h) and already 10 skels, with the queen's i would get 11 skels which downgrades the build (1 melee skel after the 10 skels, unless i respec out of any +1 skel node).

What would you suggest ??

Atm, im sitting on a 5L chest, And I dont really know which 5 or 6 gems (when i get it) Is the "best" for melee skeletons? (Right now im swtiching out splash for multistrike on bosses.

I noticed you used the Ruthless support gem on your newest comment on the build, so I tried it out (used added fire damage before).. And i cant really fit in minion speed yet.

I've spent alot of refund points and trying to get it sorted, But Is there any main issues with my passives?

Would appreciate some help!

I'm confused as to what my last 2 Ascendancy Nodes should be because both Pastebin builds use mistress of sacrifice. The forum post itsself says under melee skellys to use commander of darkness and mistress of sacrifice but nothing about mage. the skill tree under leveling section that says finished skill tree only has commander of darkness and mistress of sacrifice selected nothing else. So fore the mage build what should my last 2 points be?

am i the only one?

Hello, first of all thanks for the guide, great build.

And please excuse me for my "noob" questions and my bad grammar, its not my first language.

Here we go! I use melee skels with Solar Guard spectres.

I skipped to use Animated Guardian, how important is that? Seems really annoying to me loss the items if guardian got killed. (But i plan to try it)

Besides the lv 4 empower on 6l, any improve on my gear, like The Scourge, or exchange a few life nodes to add couple more nice jewels that boost minion damage when used minion skills and life?.

I miss fast attacks gem linked to shield charge, dunno if there is something i don't undestand, but on tier 8-10 maps im very glass cannon and have to stay far from mobs to no be almost instakilled. Seems a bit risky charge to them to gain fortify charges, can't see how fast attacks on shield charge can be useful.

Planning on future to add a socket ring to move there flesh offering and add vaal haste, but meanwhile, what is more important vaal haste or vaal lightning trap?.

All Resistance @75%, 6100 HP, 1100 Energy Armour. Managed to kill Atziri at first try, but missing Uber lab ascendancy, died on Izaro with 2-3% HP left, but i will be back soon!

Same as few people above have difficulties to staying alive. I barelly pass labyrinth 68 at 78 lvl character. And only because of luck, avoided all hits from Izaro somehow, because if he didnt miss, i die from 1-2 shots without time to use some flasks. This is my 1st high level character and only about 1 week in game. Follow this guide pretty straight forward, almost ) Cant fit iron will to the build yet. 6 links too expensive for me atm.

Correct.

For higher budget versions I'd skip the strength stacking and use an Elder helmet for the spectres due to the lack of mods that would benefit skellies and then run a 6L skelly setup, like I'm doing on stream with this build atm :)

Hey,

Depends on your approach, a rare chest with life & strength for low budget. For medium/high budget you can run Vis Mortis to scale your spectres further, same with equipping an Elder helmet for the specs :)

I'd rather drop zombies for higher budget tbh and focus more on Animate Guardian & utility.

Just take out the Puppet Master node in the tree if you want to have 9 skellies.
It's not like the extra zombie and 16% minion life matter all that much.


The sweet spot at 9 was recently fixed but sadly GGG have a habit of not showing in the patch notes when they fix fundamental issues regarding summoners, this is just another one of those things. We can not fully utilize 10 mages in the build.

WoW... that's called dedication!
Baron is mainly designed for low budget approach as this is a beginner's guide. However, if you wish to invest more currency to it I'd strongly recommend not strength stacking and instead getting an Elder helmet for your spectres, this is what I'm running on stream with this build atm. The tree would still be the same.

Regarding NA:
I chose not to run with it cause I'm in hardcore and will bring the build to Uber Elder :) I wanted more eHP.

I'm using 10 melee skellies. Also, the mages were because of a bug that has been fixed with GGG not informing us of it.

Melee Splash is for AoE, the other links are for single target :)

Drop the 3x Duration nodes, you no longer need them, get some more HP instead!
Are you res capped?
How much life do you have? (after the 3 duration node respec)

Orb of Storms works to proc Scourge :)

Shaping these days depends on which map you prefer to run yourself. GGG has really made mapping good in that way at least.

Hey,

Well, the guide shows the low budget approach anything from Aurumvorax to Brightbeak or Scourge. Rare chest pieces etc etc, if you wish to invest more currency you get other options:

Vis Mortis for extra spectre
Elder Helmet for psuedo 5-7L spectres
Queen's Decree/Escape

It all depends on how you wish to play the build :)
Also, for higher budget I strongly recommend not strength stacking, get abyssal jewels, vis mortis and own the world :)

I prefer Commander of Darkness in general after the MoS nerf, it gives good offence as well as the very needed resistances.

Victario's Charity, but its not mandatory, you'll be a bit faster but not speccing NA makes you tankier instead with a rare shield.

I would not recommend using Queen's for this build anymore, 1H/Shield is just so much faster & stronger these days.

The gems are listed in order of efficiency in the guide :) (Change Multistrike for Melee Splash if you're not running bosss).
The tree is routing a bit ineffectively on the bottom left side compared to what the guide shows, same with the nodes north of that. Other than that the tree looks good.

I will take another look at the gems in the guide to make sure they are optimal.

It's generally a matter of taste, here's my preference:

Invoker => Soul Weaver => Bone Sculptor => Commander of Darkness.

No worries bro! :)

AG is very good, but don't use him till he's lvl 18+.
Abyssal Jewels with flat life + %min dmg when you've used a min skill recently is the best. The shield charge with Fortify is only IF you accidentally charge in to something to give you another layer of defence, you can use this 3L in a 4L instead and add Animate Guardian to it to give him Fortify!

Vaal Haste is most important. Vaal Lightning Trap is optional.

Hey,

The belt is not good, you can use a rare Stygian Vise (Abyssal Belt) with life & resistances, your rings don't have life. This is most likely the main reasons why you're dying. You can spec out of NA and switch the shield for a normal shield for more defence. Im running a higher budget version of this build on stream with 8000 life atm.

Regarding your skilltree:
Remove the 3x Duration nodes, they are no longer needed. You need to prioritise your life nodes over jewel slots if you're having issues with survival, unless the jewels are flat life from abyssal jewels (preferably with minion dmg as well).

One variation I've made to the build was to add in a Vaal Summon Skeleton gem. I originally leveled it up just so I could get the "Behold my Army" achievement, but I've found that dropping an extra 30+ skellies onto a boss really helps with a battle. Death by a thousand cuts, etc... :P
