Anyone using name calling and memes to dismiss a point should expect nothing but hate in return.

We have fundamental disagreements about what would actually be "good" for pvp in this game(not whats possible/achievable now). I obviously disagree with keeping it pay to win. Seems like most disagree.

Ahfack dismissed my argument that anything were wealth or item availability matters will never succeed then proceeded to insult me and talk about how "salty" I am. Then expressed how it was near impossible to get essential pvp items in this thread.

Skill balance is all that really matters. Pvp in ARPGs has always been a gear check, and it should be that way imo. If you want PvP on an even playing field that caters to casuals and eventually destroys games (see: WoW), then the genre simply isn't for you if it's track record has any merit.

You clearly don't want pvp, just a measuring contest. Anyone with this POV clearly doesn't get it. Which is weird that you want the appearance of balance from skill gems but not on gear. Nice Joke.

Edit:
Id rather play well constructed premades than the joke of pvp you want.

Lapiz and myself have considered premades something they really could have had success with if they tried.

Lord Sidro,

You can continue thread stalking me, but all you are really accomplishing is making your intentions completely clear of the purpose of you posting here.

Why you are coming in to Lib's thread with a bag of salt directed at me is unknown, and you were on my friends list until this point. But that's fine man, you do you. Whatever makes you happy :)

I said your idea was a good idea, but not doable right now, I never said it was not a good idea. Also nowhere did I dismiss the point with name calling, up until this point I was being jovial and addressing the point head-on with how I responded to you.

GrindcoreTHRALL had the same idea you did, and here's my response:

"
I love it man, but I don't think that'll happen without us paying for another senior dev, and as they would argue senior devs don't grow on trees etc and they would never be able to give us a concrete completion date which would be unfair to the supporters who most likely wouldn't get points because of the amount of work associated

I'm even one of his upvotes in his straw poll. I would love for this to happen, but I'm being realistic by supporting the idea of setting current and future T values first. If some skills have no T values even on a sandbox server then nothing will be fixed either.

You can name drop all you want, it still doesn't make it a realistic request right now.

I'm not muddying up Lib's thread by responding to you after this, so if you have anything left to say be a man and message me in game to let me know if there's something else I can do for you, otherwise all you are doing is trying to garner attention for yourself.

I don't want to be the one to fix PVP, I want PVP fixed! You feel me?

Sincerely yours,

-Greendude2

Well when you say things like "its so easy to get into pvp gearing now" and then talk about about unobtainable/unaffordable items (in this thread my reason for posting here) it seems hypocritical.

How could you possibly not know why I'm commenting you at? You flamed me in multiple threads and in game.

You don't get to play the "o my i have no clue why this guy would say these things here. I'm so chill and hes so unreasonable" when your comments are all public and you have something rude to call me every post.

I prefer to keep our convo public as you seem to say conflicting things and act a different way in person. we can leave libs thread if needed.
Staying on topic...

aRPG PvP is a gear check, it require very little skill but lot of theorycrafting. it's like those killer robot battle, lots of design / boring fights.

If you want "fair" pvp where everyone can have access to anything I reckon checking the guild wars franchise and Mobas.

Edit :

Dat poor Reach of the council, now he will never be able to live to his full potential. Also I reckon it's a terrible choice for a classic LA build. Now if you going with more "exotic" things, it's a pretty interesting bow.

I'm a huge advocate of GW2 SPVP as a model :D

Ahfack and I are cool nothing to see here back to boring no drama.

That's what aRPG PvP is...and it always has been, it's a part of the damn genre model. If you want an even playing field, choose a different genre.

Will not try to derail the thread further, but just my thoughts on getting into PvP, since I am slowly trying to build a base of items and at a very different gear level from the majority of people in this thread.

Both of you guys have good points, PvP in my eyes is somewhat gated by the prices of top-tier items, but also in the current stage, getting people interested and not creating a hostile/shitty environment simply from the skill balancing is a good way to start things off.

Ofc getting your basics down is a great way to get started, but just like PvE all over again, lots of min-maxing required before you can see good success and a comfortable PvP experience.
