RANGER FACEBREAKER - CRIT

Finally found build utilizing Rigwald's Curse Amulet. Great stuff mate!
I have similar build but with Ice Crash and Lycosidae shield, it's pretty fun but squishy now. Maybe will respec my tree according to yours after patch.
Anyways, thanks for your work!
Thanks man, good to see another crit rigwald build xD

Yes I agree, Lycosidae is very nice on crit build. I have also been playing around and trying other offhands and quivers like Signal Fire on this build.

The added damage as X element is welcome, but one problem is that too much elemental damage conversion in some cases is not good since some of the bosses have 40% res. So unless I use some kind of penetration, converting all my damage to light or fire is not a good idea.

So I'm still trying a few things. I want to take out P2L and put Melee Damage on Full Life and then use a VoV for my shock and get Vaal Pact (4 points away so not too bad) - you can also leech a good amount of life from chaos damage using Atziri and Sin's unholy might.

Some buffs to this build due to claw changes including:

- more crit chance on the claw nodes
- Soul Raker now gives attack life and mana leech
- Claws of the Pride closer and more damage and crit

Please note claw crit multiplier does not affect facebreaker crit.

Did a quick respec and the same old tree in town is up from 183k to 200k, and overall adds about 100k to my buffed DPS.

New Tree:

Note you can get mroe damage by going Claws of the Pride 4 points instead of Soul Raker 4 points, however I have kept it Soul Raker for the default tree as it gives nice mana leech

Always a sucker for a good Facebreaker build and I haven't made a crit version yet so color me intrigued. I'm curious as to the impact non-legacy FBs would have on the output though even though I am sure a pair of 750%+ would still melt a fair portion of the bosses while on your way to making a fortune for a well rolled Legacy.
just a question mate, why u don't use the lycoside shield instead of the great old? I run a wc build critic berserker and the hits can t be evaded mode on the shield boosts my dps much more than great old, u gonna loose few point of life and the small block chance applied to spell, but u will gain much more dps.
Nice build btw gl

Hi bud, I'll try out the non-legacy FBs with these new updates but I did try it before and posted vid with some non-legacy gear with bad rolls:

Here is the post link which I will quote below:

Using 682% Facebreakers instead of my 999%, 136% crit multi Abyssus instead of my 224%, and non-legacy Megi. DPS is close to 600k.

Thanks man. Yes you are right, and I've been playing around with Lycosidae and Signal Fire quiver. Yes Lycosidae is very nice for this build due to 100% hit chance, downside is you will have more trouble with reflect, but still it is very nice.

I'm in the process of adjusting the build to make a version with some more DPS, so please stay tuned! A lot of people complain about the DPS being too high - but for T16s the more DPS I can get the easier those fights become since flasks and vaal buffs all have a time limit.

I'm experimenting with some other offhands / quivers / shields. Also trying to either
a) avoid too much elemental damage and shift more to chaos damage,
or b) increase elemental damage and get high ele penetration.

Some examples of a) are taking out P2L and using MDOFL instead. To compensate for the missed shock you will need to use a VoV (and Vaal Pact if non-legacy) to get the shocks AND stay at full life for MDOFL.

This will give you more DPS but more phys instead of lightning since we don't have the high conversion from P2L (currently lightning is my highest damage). Since end-game bosses have like 40% ele resistance it is a HUGE pain unless you have a lot of penetration.

Then you can focus on keeping more phys or shifting more to chaos (i.e. using Atziri flask + Sin's Rebirth)

Some examples of b) are 100% fire conversion using Infernal Blow and Signal Fire and then using Added Fire and Fire Penetration gem.

Skills like Ice Crash, Cyclone, Infernal Blow have easier gem requirements since they do not necessarily require melee splash, so you have an extra slot to play with for things like Fire Pen gem.

Thanks to Raider's new "on hit" chance to gain frenzy charges - Frenzy is not COMPLETELY necessary, although I still like the Frenzy skill for the T16s where I absolutely need frenzy charges at all times for DPS and defense.

I realize the way I have done this build is because I am focused on killing bosses. To help some people who do not know how to customize this build and don't care about bosses - I will split and add a new build option

for safe, fast clearing:
- for people who are doing regular maps / leveling / don't care about doing end-game bosses
- It will use faster easier skill for attack like Ice Crash / Infernal Blow
- The tree will be adjusted for more tankiness and lower the damage since you don't need obscene DPS
- The ascendancy will be changed once I find a good mix for speed and safe clearing

Thanks a lot for the awesome information and being awesome!
Hi, i might be bringing this thread back alive but i just wanted to say im lvl 47 currently, quick, fast and easy to kill everything in the way. ITS AWESOME!!!!

So im doing some future planning and currently i have that heavy belt which is cool. Im using Shield bash, fortify, and melee damage currently (might change to faster attack later). But the question is has anyone change to the Perseverance belt at lvl 78?

Doing a little bit of theory crafting with this setup you would have frenzy for main attack, then fortify, instant on onslaught with the belt, and instant phasing with the ascendancy skill tree..... ideally you would be moving a lot faster, awesome defense and possibly amazing dps but didnt know if this why tried out yet or not.

If so can you please send me in the right direction to find that post on the results?

If not ill try it out when i get high enough unless someone beats me to it. Thanks in advance.
