with solar guards are not worth sacrificing a link imho... the spectres already have an insane clearspeed and shot packs before the phantasms can even touch them, plus, when you come to the boss, the minions will likely disappear after a few times, and if you're running 6 links, you'll end up with effective 5 links

Fair enough. I've been toying with them for fun to clear maps, but switch back to controlled destruction and slower projectiles for boss fights. I agree they don't do squat against bosses.
Ghazzy, you might have answered this, but have you attempted uber elder/shaper yet? I know you said it's meant for map clearing, but I'm curious if you've given it a go.
I will apologize up front if this is a silly question.

How do you get started in a map when playing solo?

For the last two hours I have been respecting and changing out the gear on my char to this build and am almost finished and then this question came to mind:

* for zombies i need a dead body and same applies with raise specter - and my dps sucks greasy eyeballs with my britebeak hammer - thus the concern... on having bodies for the zombies & specter

Regarding the best abyssal jewel mod, yes %min dmg is top tier, confirmed from several sources including extensive PoB testing including the fact that it's better for skellies which have a 50% positive modifier to added flat and it would still not outperform %min dmg.

It's a nice thing to have for the general mapping but it's a matter of taste tbh :)

This is also one of those situations where we can't determine if it's top tier for clearing or not without actual numeric values which I'm still not getting from GGG =(

Thank you Ghazzy! I came back to POE after a 3 year break and picked up this build from scratch in Standard. Holy blaster batman! I thought leveling with SRS was fun. I got to the Solaris Temple, picked up 3 Solar Guards and was stunned how well they work.

The build has confirmed deathless kills vs Uber Elder. I've personally done this vs Shaper with both TVs and SGs both work very well for that with next to no gear (used Tabula).

Hey,

First of, never apologize for asking questions in my threads/stream/discord/youtube. I will always answer to the best of my ability!

Dead bodies are generated by "Desecrate".

The spectres are both permanent and persists through logging out and you must follow the guide on this one, I got a specific link for generic summoner mechanics you should watch and don't forget to read the pinned msg below the video as well which will teach you everything you need to know about the spectres specifically complex mechanics. HERE!


Other things to note when summoning your spectres are to either hold down the "A" key to "target" corpses to make sure you're summoning "Solar Guards" or you could go to your in-game settings then "UI" and go down to "corpse targeting" and change that to "always enabled" which I personally prefer.

Also note that you need to unsocket "Spell Echo" support gem when you are summoning them to avoid accidentally summoning any incorrect minion! (Don't forget to put the socket back in once they are summoned).

And lastly: Make sure you don't use spectres till you've gotten the ascendancy node: Soul Weaver!
