LLD Tournaments ~ Tournament #5 Open for Sign-ups (2v2 FIXED Teams)

Hello everyone!
After Hauntworld’s initiative to start a weekly series of HLD tournaments I thought it’d be great to organize the same for LLD. The main focus of these tournaments will be on team games although we might have a few 1v1 settings later on if people are interested in those. General information For every tournament there will be a set number of participant slots. The amount of open slots may vary for each event and this information can be seen on the second post of this thread. Players who wish to join can ONLY do so by making a post in this thread and you will be added on a first come, first serve basis. After all the participants have signed up we will decide on a date and time using a doodle that will be sent to your PoE inbox. Note that most tournaments will occur on either Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays and start between 7pm and 8pm GMT+1. After the date and time has been decided, I would like every participant to be online for at least 15 minutes before the start of the tournament. During that time everyone can join global chat /1337 and gather up at my hideout. During the tournament I will update the brackets on a google docs online spreadsheet so everyone can see the current rankings and matchups. I also plan on livestreaming and casting the tournaments on my twitch channel. http://www.twitch.tv/monstacookie23 General tournament rules You are only allowed to play with one character and you need to let me know which one you will use for the whole tournament, preferably before the actual start of the tournament. If you don’t show up for your match you have 10 minutes to come back or your opponent wins by default. Your character has to be in permanent Standard league to be able to participate in the team-based tournaments. Ascendancy classes are not allowed. Rewards The first few tournaments will be free to enter and I will provide the prizes. Winners will be given the choice between a number of LLD items and a set amount of currency. Depending on how popular these events become I might change it so that participants pay a fixed buy-in where the winner takes it all. Top Contributions

2v2 No-team Swiss
The first tournament will be a combination of a regular “Swiss-event” and the “No-team 3v3 blitz” events during season 2. At the start of the tournament all participants will be divided in teams at random using a random team generator. After each round teams will again be scrambled using the random team generator. If you’d like to see an example of a completed tournament bracket click here. - Every match-up will be a best of 3; first team to get 2 wins will continue. - Players who lose twice are out of the tournament. - First two players to win 3 match-ups will win the whole tournament.

Restrictions: Your character can only wear unique items and jewels that do not have a beneficial corruption. The 2nd tournament will be a combination of a regular “Swiss-event” and the “No-team 3v3 blitz” events during season 2 with an additional restriction; Participants are only allowed to equip non-corrupted unique items and jewels. At the start of the tournament all participants will be divided in teams at random using a random team generator. After each round teams will again be scrambled using the random team generator. If you’d like to see an example of a completed tournament bracket click here. - Every match-up will be a best of 1 - Players who lose 3 times are out of the tournament. - First two players to win 4 match-ups will win the whole tournament.

No gear restrictions I will divide the teams and try to keep them balanced. Teams will not get scrambled after every round like in tournament #1 and #2 to allow players to work on their strategy/gameplan. - All match-ups will be best of 3!

2v2 Unique-only Scramble
Restrictions: Your character can ONLY wear unique items and jewels that do not have a beneficial corruption. This means you are not allowed to equip: - Any rare or magic items with the exception of flasks. - Unique items with corruptions like Curse on Hit, +1 to level of gems, Cast when Stunned, etc. *Legacy uniques are allowed. At the start of the tournament all participants will be divided in teams at random using a random team generator. After each round teams will again be scrambled using this random team generator. If you’d like to see an example of a completed tournament bracket click here. - Every match-up will be a best of 1 - Players who lose 2 times are out of the tournament. Keep in mind your character has to be in the permanent Standard league and can't make use of any ascendancy class in order to participate
