Yes, Casutic Arrow builds can work with Pathfinder...

The passive tree is essentially unchanged between starting as a Scion or starting as a Ranger. The bigger question is what would you be getting specifically from the Pathfinder Ascendancy? All of the flask nodes are incredibly strong, but are you fine sacrificing damage, area, extra passive points, and an easier time gearing for the Intelligence gems?

Grocery, and a few other users, have good damage/survive focused builds here in the ranger section of the forums. I'd recommend looking in to those threads if you wanted more input on starting as Ranger.

I was thinking with the combination of Dying Sun Ruby Flask and WitchFire Brew Stibnite. With Caustic arrow and Pathfinder you would gain back some of the damage lost from dead eye. But wasnt sure

Ohh right I forgot about the ruby flask. I'd be interested in seeing this tested(or the math) as well, I just don't think anyone has done it yet.

If LC I wander from where take 60% lightning resistence.
I am using blue items for HD & blood dance shoes with +1 frenzy without resistances.
It will be so hard.
