[outdated] Caustic Arrow Solo Map MFer (20/300+)
Dual Ample Quicksilver Flasks of Adrenaline.
You don't need Rumi's at all. The point of the build isn't defense. :P Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018.

Probably very right :)
Honestly, I found the Rumi's very early on...and just kinda went with it while I was leveling and never really took it off the flask bar. I'll roll another couple quicksilvers the next time I'm on. I"m not the greatest PoE player, just very addicted. This is the first character/league that I've killed Atziri on now. I was about to quit until Ascendancy this afternoon, vaal'd my bow hoping for an additional arrow (got a blank corruption) and then said fuck it...I got one set of Atziri pieces...lets give it a go. Killed her...and now I've been buying sets all night. Having a blast farming her in full MF gear tonight...got an Agnerod South, a pair of Maligaro's and 2-The Ethereal cards off Atziri runs. Probably my best farm night in a couple weeks. | |
Now that they released all ranger`s and shadow`s ascendancy classes, which would be the best for this build? Im thinking on trickster because of 40% increased damage over time or deadeye for +1 arrows to skills.

" Not Trickster. Deadeye let's us drop AoE. Given that we start with CA - AoE - Conc - Rapid Decay - Void Manipulation, it means Empower, which gets a dramatic boost off the triple MORE multipliers. Much more than you'd get off the increased DoT from Trickster. Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018. Last edited by Serleth on Feb 13, 2016, 12:53:49 AM

Hey folks, quick question - at what levels of life / evasion / dps are you willing to try Atziri? I tried a month back, and got obliterated by the two construct guardians. Since then, I've added quite a bit of gear, all my gems are now quality 20 and most are level 19, so I'm thinking I might have a decent chance now.
Thoughts? Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD
Feel free to message me in game if I'm on. |

" I personally start to get comfortable doing it in a 5L +2 bow with gem level 19 and about 4.3k life, but I'm also fairly experienced in doing Atziri runs. Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018.

KorgothBG has a very interesting thread about his magic finding experiences in the General Discussion section of the forums. His findings are pretty much in line with mine.
* UNID chaos recipe and vendoring rares generates the bulk of his currency * Finding valuable uniques is extremely uncommon Not discussed (yet) in the thread is his experience trying to sell rares for currency. For me, it seems like selling probably generates 40-50% of my income, but I go with the shotgun approach - if I think it might sell I drop it into my stash and let Procurement/poe.trade take care of the rest. I can't recall if I've stated as much in this thread, but definitely on reddit (numerous times) I've stipulated more or less the same numbers, for the first month of a league anyway.
* 40% normal sales * 40% raw generation * 20% off other sources (Atziri runs, GG uniques, the odd T15 map, the odd time I craft something for profit, etc). Hence the point I make in the OP (FAQ): MF isn't about the unique drops. It's about brute-forcing RNG in your favour through massive amounts of raw drops, recipes, vendoring, and dropping a significantly higher amount of rares to toss in your shop. Real talk for a second how would you recommend this vs a MF flame totem templar on a HC league?
i got to 85 as: https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Spacewhael/characters toon name yellowjacket hawkey. as you can see i had no defences other than a 4.2k life pool and died in a strand map or something to trying to out run some rare devourers and was too scared to log out when all my pots were empty (complete buffoonery) |

" Totems are infinitely safer. Flat out. But the playstyle I find leaves me more prone to making stupid decisions or just forgetting what I'm doing for a second because it's almost aggressively passive. I.e., going up against devourers with 4.2k life and no pots ;) Anyway, I do have an HC variant of this build that pushes 5.5-6K life, at which point you basically shouldn't die unless you're running silly-difficult T13+ content. Granted, you will have to be on top of your flasks to feel super safe playing it and just generally get adjusted to running an Eva/Acro build. Some people find it squishy. Which it sort of is, but I hardly ever find myself in a situation where I feel properly threatened. Maybe some of that's skill, some of it knowing the flasks can bail me out. At any rate, I basically only die (even with 4.5k life) when I'm deliberately pushing hard content. If you decide to roll FT again, run with Sire of Shards, clear speed is a lot better than with Searing Touch. Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018. Last edited by Serleth on Feb 15, 2016, 4:42:45 AM
