[outdated] Caustic Arrow Solo Map MFer (20/300+)

Just a "heads up" for those pursuing Talisman league challenges...

The new 10-set divination card, Prosperity, was released in patch 2.1.1c.
Spoiler

Prosperity drops in the Shore map and has a moderate drop rate - about one-in-three or perhaps one-in-two runs will net you a card. The drop rate seems pretty streaky though. I'd get 2 in one map and then a run of 6 maps with no cards.

The reward for turning in the Prosperity set is a blue ring with pretty nice rarity
Spoiler

You can master craft the ring to add a bit more rarity if you want.

I don't see this competing with the unique magic-find rings... but perhaps they'll find temporary use for magic finders as they build up resists/funds to afford better alternatives.
It's a nice way to get some MF early in a league, or to craft MF rings, but strictly from an MF purist standpoint, not worth it.

Probably VERY nice for hardcore variants of builds like this though. Regal a useful affix then multimod and craft the rest on.

You might of said it in the post, but i cant find it. Is slower proj more dps then VM?
Hi Serleth:

A small (hopefully) request...

Could you record a video (say of an Arena or Springs clear since you recorded those for Warbands) to show off the Talisman version of Poison - er, Caustic - Arrow?

I think this might be valuable for folks trying to decide how much better/worse/different CA is now as compared to the old PA.

Thanks!

Other way around. VM > SP.

Do you want a completely finished build (lvl 95, Empower 4, CA 21, etc, Standard). or the Talisman build I'm using right now (RD instead of Empower, lvl 90)?

Your call :-) Whatever has most appeal to the community in general I suppose.
Hey love the guide first off, building my first Talisman character completely based on it. This is my first ever time doing mapping and it seems pretty good so far, despite my obvious inexperience. Got a question sorry if its been asked before, I've noticed the goldwyrm you have is 27% IIQ but the new ones in talisman are 14%-20%. The 20% ones are super expensive, is it even worth buying a 18% or lower one ? Thanks!

Glad to hear things are going well for you.

First off, any additional quantity is good quantity. You want Goldwyrms ideally but you're fine running a 16% Sadimas until you can afford Goldwyrms. Sadimas will cost you an alc.

For Goldwyrm, any roll 17% or above is worth buying. With patience you can get an 18% one for 40-50 chaos probably. The extra 2% isn't that significant short term, but long term it pays off so it's up to you if you want to hold out and shell the extra 50 chaos for a perfect 20%.

You can always resell the less-than-perfect ones later.

The 27% is legacy. Ie., rolls that high don't drop anymore, so it's only available in Standard.
