[outdated] Caustic Arrow Solo Map MFer (20/300+)

Yeah for sure. Nothing wrong with doing that. That's how I personally build MF characters myself: life and resistances first, IIR second.

I'll keep this simple, if I had 350% IIR, how much IIQ should I aim for?

The reason why I am asking, I am pondering a few decisions: Goldwyrms instead hp/resist/IIR boots and possibly swapping out Sadima's for hp/resist/IIR boots.

Current gear:

This puts me at 26 IIQ/300 IIR. I am not yet resist capped. I am guessing I should aim to use my next 2 exalts on getting a +3 bow and to opt for a high resist/hp/IIR boots over Goldwyrm.
If you're looking to adjust it to maximize the MF values you're getting rather than caring about survivability as much, the answer is always: as much as you can get.

What I am really trying to figure out is if Greed's Embrace allows me to efficiently not use Sadima's Touch; grab resist/life/IIQ gloves and then the choice between Goldwyrm or resist/life/IIQ/MS boots.

I see most people in thread are running Goldwyrm. I'd strongly prefer to go with the rare boots for 30% MS vs. 10% MS on Goldwyrm's though.

(Of course, I also realize that just not using Greed's Embrace and going to Goldwyrm get's me to the same amount of MS; but for right now I actually have a Greed's Embrace and don't yet have the other items).

What would be good stats needed to try normal Atziri?
Using more tanky gear instead of MF one i can reach 5,4k hp, and my chaos dmg per secon on tooltip reach 18k with the 6 frenzy charges using a drillneck and this bow

Never had a build to use against Atziri so I never tried, any general tip on how use PA against the various bosses?

No. You want at least 15% IIQ, bare minimum.

@Markell: gem level-wise you're fine, you can do Atziri full MF spec with around 4.4k life, deathless.

Beta video, deathless run

Decided to mess about with my low level mf character based off your build. Low and behold the albino rhoa feather dropped as I was travelling through mud flats!!!
Thanks Ser!

Just RNG for that my friend, no thanks required =)

Just wanna thank for this amazing build, made a few tweaks here and there to fit my playstyle, but the base tree and gear is still the same just dropped Corruption wheel saving 7 points to invest in life and jew's

'im at lvl 84 and feeling prety tanky atm
4,7k hp 15k evasion 40/30 dodge
and my MF stats using Sadima's Gloves
16/234

highly recommend fit in a vaal grace for the tankiness and vaal lightning trap for the deeps.
is amazing how fast we can melt the mobs. with the adiction of vaal ligh trap even bosses melt down easily, 'i'm sitting up to 19,3k dps with 5 frenzy's. still aiming 2 more frenzy's and 2 jew's and will be done...

Gratz man!
One of the most fun builds ever played!
Hi guys,

Not sure if this question has been asked before (this forum really needs a "search in thread" function) but do you guys think running pierce gem instead of increased AoE is worth it? To offset the decreased AoE from conc effect, we start from scion instead of ranger and take the +AoE nodes. This adds around 46% additive damage to PA, (35% from the extra chance to pierce, and 11% from the extra nodes we take from the scion start. We don't take the 5% and 30% pierce node.) with 13% decreased cloud size.

Maybe something like this:

https://www.pathofexile.com/fullscreen-passive-skill-tree/AAAAAwABAO4DHgUtBbUGIwhnDPIPqxUgFbgWvxmKGbQbyB9BI_YkiyaVKk0qWyzpLYMuUzB8NZI2PTfUPs8_J0MxRwZHfkkTSshNklFHUq9VS1oaWlJh4mKsZU1n_GwIbIxtbG5pbqp07XXLdoJ59nvDfXWCXoTFhNmGs4ngjX2Nfo2_kx-WMpcGm12btZ2qoSKiQKXLqJq0xbTRtfK3trtNu-O9Nr3mvqfCjsLswzPDOsSiyAzIW8u90NDTb9N-1CPV-Ni92sHb591f44TmWOaB6mLtP-968Yryl_T49qP-ug==

This assumes that you have a level 21 pierce (corrupted). Essentially this trades AoE for higher paper dps, but I'm not sure if it'll improve clear time empirically since you may end up doing less dps - this happens if mobs wander out of the PA cloud more frequently due to its decreased size.

EDIT: Looks like it adds around 4k DPS, according to the calculator on the 2nd post.
