PSA: I am not participating in Season 2 PvP. I was a big advocate for PvP but too many issues now push me back. Eitherway, I thought it was only fair that everyone knows this method because surely it wouldn't be fair if it was used by only a specific few to gain those alt arts and destroy competition. Right...?

This is for me as well unfortunately. I chose not to even participate in the end of season one invitational b/c I felt it was extremely unfair how some players gained access and/or manipulated alpha testing. However,if I had known they were giving alt art necks for the event,I probably would have went ahead and participated. But they didn't even announce them until after the event was over. I believe myself and 2 other players skipped the event who had qualified,just my opinion,but the alt art necks were earned by us. The monetary prize from participating not so much,and rightfully given to the participants. The long grind to acquire an invite should have awarded the neck to the people who earned them. I can only speak for myself,but maybe none of the players would have missed the event if they had known such prize existed. To some,they are more important than any monetary prize.

Another late announcement that has left a bad taste in my mouth about PvP.


TL;DR I was hoping they were going to fix the problem after it happened last season.

I explained many times dark_elf way to reach such high rank, you dont need to do it again.
You could do it faster only becaouse 2 players were involved he is doing it solo.

this sucks sorry. There should be a better way to do these ladders.

Thanks for pointing this stuff out skyforth/Kais - nice to see it confirmed "PVP is broken and rather pointless"

The only real solution to this is to have an open qualifier for the invitational, let the people who would want to participate enter irrespective of their season standing, and then determine the invitations based on the results of the open qualifier.
