[LLD] Molten Shell Discussion

How many curses were used (flammability, elemental weakness), and was EE applied? There's no way molten does 6667 (1600x(1/1-0.76)) damage before enemy fire res is applied in LLD.


It was against dsfarblar who dont use resist curses (he use temp chains) and no ee.
It was crit though i think.
Also i was playing marauder that time with +1 fire res node and shitton of life nodes in genearal.
In other world 1600+ life(1600 is min i have) 76 fire res when hit and one shot.

Trappers on the right side of the tree who stack clever construction, evasion/ondar's, acrobatics, and sometimes block. That doesn't technically qualify, but they're often paired together since they're so close together.

Its burst dmg is close to oneshot and we dont like oneshots ;)
molten shell is useless
I don't really care for molten shell in LLD since while it's strong it's nowhere near as OP as in HLD which is a good thing. I've experienced worse to say

Yeah. The lack of conc effect, and weaker fire pen certainly makes a difference in LLD. Less caster crit builds as well.

im pretty sure thats impossible, i just tested it with a +3 tabula rasa 6link and only damage nodes and with pretty gg gear i still couldnt even get the number that should oneshot you with max fire pen (3478.26086957347826086957) also i know dsfar's tree doesnt have that much dmg

but yes, i still feel like molten shell could be tuned a down a bit more

I totally agree, molten shell should be buffed instead.
