Preemptive heavy strike nerf

Obviously heavy strike wasn't an issue season 1, but that's only because it sat in the shadow of molten strike and cyclone. Heavy strike deals very similar damage as molten strike, with a killer knock back attribute that can wreck builds. It's very foolish to nerf molten strike without nerfing heavy along with it (maybe not at the same severity) for several reasons. Molten strike is one of the only skills that all weapon bases may use. Nerfing molten without adjusting heavy creates an even bigger gap between sword and dagger than there already is. These nerfs will not shift the meta, it'll just force the meta to unlink molten and link heavy, unlink firepen and link stun. We're going to see the same shit from sword/board in s2 as s1, it'll just look slightly different.
I used heavy strike in S1. Never even used cyclone.

You did post a video when you used cyclone for a whole event
It's hard to remember what you have forgotten

Why are police looking for missing people? None of them were missing last time I saw them
Oh, not in 1v1s. FFA was stupid and I think the event should be removed or completely reworked.

Cyclone and heavy are good vs different builds, molten too

I definitely agree HS needs to be nerfed in accordance to the other skills damage being brought down. Either nerf the stun or nerf the damage, it shouldnt get the insane utility and dps all in one package.

This is another good example of LLD balance that will really really fuck with HLD. The lack of CWDT IC set ups in LLD makes physical damage a more viable option opposed to HLD. In HLD if Heavy was to get nerfed it would be complete crap. Melee skills are on a very fine line in HLD, most are borderline crap and others are just enough to compete. While spells, bow skills are leagues ahead of them due to design and damage output. Mostly due to CWDT being such an issue in HLD.

Edit: This is referring to mostly sword/mace/axe skills that generally are paired with RT or low accessible crit.

I'm sure given equal geared players in lld it doesn't take 15+ swings with HS to down someone. While the caster kills you in 2-3 shots. The bower 2-3, the dagger 1-2. This is regardless of how much elemental damage you're doing along side it. Physical to lightning, hatred, added fire... You're looking at almost 10x the hits compared to other damage sources and don't tell me melee APS is that much faster then caster/bow APS thus leveling it out..because that's bs. That's 15+ swings vs an es caster non zealots oath, thus no regen no healing and about 9k es. Near non existent armor and using a 2h sword, heavy strike doing over 10k phys 8k fire or 4k phys 5k fire 10k light.
GGG, the ADA of gaming....huuuur i gotz mai skilz.

The make damage scaling based on level. after 31 a huge jump in base dmg or something. The point is that if we do not do this then 100% of molten strike/cycloners will be heavy strike, which is damn close to being just as good as molten.
Resolved once again if PvP was segregated.

Honestly if pvp was separated i'd quit this game. its all about finding/crafting/spending currency. if things were 100% prepared there would be no point to play a basic mmorg like this.
