Okay the question i have atm is weather or not using Le Heup of All Iron ring as well as Doryani's Invitation Belt would be good choices. They both still give res and a nice damage boost as well. Atm at lvl 74 I am using both while only using the resist form Helm/boots/gloves/chest to put me at well over the cap. Just wondering if these are feasible for later parts of the game?

While they provide nice stats, they are lacking in life. It might be good to start, but not the end-game choice.
Thank for the link and the great build. keep up the good work. (sorry for not replying sooner)

So if I understand correctly, you don't have a real leech (because of empower), but you have to put orb of storms (linked with curse on hit + warlords mark), then wait a moment until orb hits enemies and mark them. It kills dynamic and fast playstyle. Is there any way of getting, for example, warlords mark + blasphemy with Vaal Pack in tree without ruining the core of your build?
@foelyn: I'll add one at a later point.

@RocTheShok: We need our unreserved mana pool for Mind over Matter to be effective, and Herald of Thunder wouldn't add enough benefit to justify its mana reservation for us.

@volosi_nazad: Since you took Mind over Matter already, reserving 50% of your mana pool isn't very good for the little gain Haste gives. You'd get a bigger benefit from movement speed on your boots and switching out your gloves, which have a -15% cast speed penalty.

Think of penetration like this:
Let's say your skill deals 10000 damage on hit, and you have 40% lightning penetration.
Against an enemy with 0% Lightning Resistance this would result in 10000 x (1 + 0.4) = 14000 damage,
in this case it's just a straight up 40% more multiplier and probably on par with other choices.

Now if the enemy has 75% Lightning Resistance, it's 10000 x (1 - 0.75 + 0.4) = 6500 damage, which makes it extremely effective in this case - a hit without penetration would lose 75% of its damage here.

@Bhaladas: The approach looks like a decent start, would definitely switch out Valako's Sign with Call of the Brotherhood to deal both lightning and cold damage. Alternatively you could go with Three Dragons, would lose the ability to shock unless you use Vinktars or Ylfebans Trickery, but has better chances to freeze stuff and is easier to scale.

Let me know what you think about these ideas and what you wanna go with, then we can work out a tree.

@shaegaming: Unfortunately your character tab is private. I've improved the mapping section about bosses, can possibly give you some ideas about boss strategies in the meantime.

@kyoshinrei: As tsunny already wrote, we need all the life we can get in endgame, otherwise those uniques would be ok.

@svcv: Unless you only want to talk shit without any real substance, make your character tab public and we can work on the problem.

@Xenhil: While using Empower that's true, until that point you got Life Leech. However, it's highly recommended to go with Kitava's Thirst, and from what i can tell by now most seem to do that before going for a leveled Empower, which automates the whole leech process.
On top of that comes the life gained on block while using Bone Offering, which is also huge.

Vaal Pact is unfortunately too far away to reasonably path to.

Shortened the guide a bit to be able to add a little more stuff, did some small fixes to the leveling and gear section and expanded the mapping section with more details about bossfights.

Did you try out the southbound interaction? If I recall, it was used by someone with a fire conversion build a while ago to get really huge prolifs (or something like that). But being able to chain off a bunch of times should theoretically help single target dps.
@ Enki91

Arn't both:

https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Ylfeban%27s_Trickery and https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/The_Three_Dragons

both helms thus I would have to use Vinktars if used Three dragons and wanted to shock?

I would be iterested to know the interaction between Call of the Brotherhood:

"Your spells have 100% chance to shock frozen enemies."

and The Three Dragons:

"Your lighting damage can freeze but not shock."

Taking into consideration the other modifiers.

Overall I like the look of The Three dragons as the Freeze effect is what I am looking for. If you think the Vinktars is safe to run with the the added self damage and can be built around, then this would be my preference. Does Doryanis Invitation belt not still give 10% chance to shock when using flasks when using Three Dragons?

Also, what do you think of the gem setup? I was thinking of adjusting the Herald to having 2 curses using the extra curse passive, but the mana reserve is kinda heavy. A Bone Offering setup needs to be fit into the build somewhere. Perhaps on the Tempest Shield with CWDT? Then move Frost Bomb onto the boots and swap out Blind?

Also I am considering using Frostbolt as the single target damage spell to synergies with Vortex and keeping Arc as the map clear spell.

The build does not have the Aegis Aurora as I swapped it out during my "cheese" CI build but I would like to put it back in.

One thing though is that if enemies are shattering all over the place Bone Offering becomes rather useless right? So Desecrate would become essential.

So that is my musing on this so far. Let me know what you think.

Your help is greatly appreciated and I am very much enjoying the chance to theory craft with you.

:)

useless build cannot kill bosses
this build is only decent at playing tier 2 maps

Useless player who can't follow a build.

You realize this is probably the longest lasting, most solid build post on the Witch forums. Enki has been updating it every patch for years dude. If you can't make it work with all the information posted here, I don't think you're gonna make any build work.

With posts like that, you'd be more valuable to the community just uninstalling the game and never coming back here tbh.
