the inward eye helmet is a great cheap starter choice, but if you get crusader on a the atziri's foible amulet,
you will open up so much freedom to get good gear and still be able to manage full resistances. the more uniques you have in your gear the harder it gets to min-max without paying 200 ex

It's possible to fit in the 5 uniques without going too crazy on rares for the resists, but the real upside to a crafted rare are the influenced mods:
- Elder/Crusader: up to 15% increased maximum mana (and elevated Elder even gives a free transfiguarion of the Mind, though expect that to be insanely expensive with any useful enchant)
- Crusader: -9% lightning res to nearby enemies
- Crusader: up to 10% physical damage taken as lightning

Those are the most useful mods, though there are others like physical damage takes as cold/fire (nice combo with the Wise oak?), %increased elemental damage, ...

If you can get those 3 Crusader mods on 1 helmet with +mana though...

I recently bought a helmet pretty cheap:



I'm still figuring out the best way to reroll it though.
Atm I use every lightning harvest reroll on it, but fossils might be better since I can make mana mods and lightning mods more common.

I want to get the following mods:
- T1 %increased maximum mana
- T2 or higher maximum mana
- Nearby enemies have -9% to lightning res

I think (and correct me if there is a better way) that the cheapest way is:

1. Fossil craft with only a Lucent fossil to get the 2 mana mods at the tiers I want (average of 56 tries for T2 mana and 111 tries for T1 mana)

2. Fill the 3rd prefix (pref with life/physical as lightning damage)

3. Harvest remove all lightning suffixes (if any)

4. Benchcraft lightning res

5. Harvest craft add lightning mod

6. Remove benchcrafted lightning res

Repeat steps 3 to 6 until I hit the -9 lightning res mod, which takes an average of 13 tries)

Another option is Awakener's Orbing an Elder helmet with the T1 %increased maximum mana on my Crusader with -9% lightning res already on it, then benchcraft +mana.

Love the build. I want to play it buuut, I am growing tired of life and MoM builds. Can I somehow play this as ES or even CI?

what if we use steelskin (instead vitality f.e.)max lvl on manual trigger to get cover on top on our life and bind it under ctrl (to constant press)?? it suppose to give us constant 2209 (lvl20) or 2403(lvl21) hp on top of ours ~2.8k and we have arcane cloak and elemental protect from perks if i understand coretcly (not sure how arcane cloak works with steelskin at same time)

So if we count we have constant arcane cloak and steelskin we can avoid oneshot? or that wont change anything?

Gotta say thanks to Enki and all thge contributors in this thread.
I am doing juiced T 16s without much trouble, just dying here and there to Bosses like Al-Hezmin. But I guess that's just me, not the bukld.
Turning 51 this sunday, I guess it's hand-eye coordination and reflexes getting slower ;)

So thx guys, I am having fun this league...

Thank you for all the help and things. I feel good about this and like above, only struggling on some bosses. At the point where I think my natural upgrades require more currency, and I really suck at farming currency. Doing midrange red maps currently, as juiced as they can be.

While this is by far the furthest I have ever made it in a league, I seem to have hit a wall. I can comfortably run T10-T12 maps and have cleared up to some T14s but started to struggle. Can anyone offer some suggestions?

More mana is what you need, at a quick glance. Try and upgrade into a Cloak of Defiance. Keep your resistances up and search for items that have high mana rolls in gloves. If you can get your resistances high enough go for a Crown of the Inward Eye.

Thank you. I changed some stuff around and bit the bullet for the CoD and what a difference already. I need to work on my resistance now and be able to equip the Crown. Thank you!!

Does anyone know if its still possible to get 118% increased spell damage on the sceptre? it only shows 109% on PoEDB.
