Enki's Arc Witch Memorial Page

@decimatus: It works well at 30%+ crit chance. You should definitely use Light Pen over PCoC, the gems are listed in order of importance in this guide.

Thank you for the prompt reply. :)
Curious...what does this mean?

Bandits
Oak - Kill All - Alira

Do you save Oak and Alira or kill them?
@imachampion

That means that in normal you help oak, in cruel you kill all of them, and in merciless you help alira.
Dear Enki, your guide is great tho I have just few questions:

1. I am able to buy a high end chest in the game, tho if I buy lightning coil I would have to change couple of things due to - lightning ressist and that would cost me more. What is the best alternation for lightning coil? What do you think about Atziri's splendour? And if yes what version - life + es?

2. How much of an improvement are void batteries? My wands give me total of: 161 spell power, 47% cast speed, 141 crit chance.. and my total crit multi is 571%. What would you change/add?

3. I was comparing a lvl 21 added lightning dmg with empower lvl 4, and it seems that ALD gives more dmg, but empower gives you +1 chain. So, is that +1 chain mandatory because lvl4 is very expensive..

Thanks for a great guide :)
@imachampion: Going to improve that section to make it more clear.

@Xeqtana: Hey there! Unfortunately there's nothing that really comes close to Lightning Coil for this build, but as all good things it has its price. If you don't wanna/can't switch your gear around to cap resistances with Coil, you could get either a Kingsguard, Atziri's Splendour (any version with Life) or Cloak of Defiance (listed from best to worst). Even a rare chest with Life + Mana + Resistances works, but you'll miss out on the unique features the mentioned chests offer.

Void Batteries are great, but your wands sound really solid already. I would invest into defense (chest, flasks etc.) first and keep this as one of the very last investments.
Empower Lv4 and a 21/20 ALD are actually kinda equal in damage due to Arc's damage effectiveness, but Empower also offers us a red slot to easily switch in Life Leech when needed, and for easier chroming when using Coil. The additional chain with a Lv4 Empower is just another bonus you get when reaching the absolute high-end goals.

Hi

I just wanted to post a couple of my observations from a noobs point of view. To start with I am not a great player, I am a little to much YOLO so competent yes, skilled no. I followed the guide to a tee and am now lvl89. I agree that one of the builds strength is using found gear, the only items I have bought were wands for about 45c, a chest for 1.5ex and a brotherhood ring for about 1ex I think, I am clearing lvl 11 maps with no issue.

With DPS oriented gear I was just over 40k tool tip with 6 charges up, this dropped a few k when I went to empower lvl 3 from added lightening damage. In game terms no difference in clear speed on maps up to lvl 10 but, as stated above invaluable for blood magic and bosses on no regen maps as the red slot lets me use life leech.

I then dropped my DPS/Life Leech belt and DPS style ammy for life based options as advised, my HP went to 4400 from 3650 with a few other tweaks and my DPS went down to about 36k, once again no real clear speed difference but a HUGE survivability increase. A few attacks that one shotted me in the past don't anymore so go with HP.

On the subject of flasks, I spent some time making and getting the flask set up advised. I don't have the Vinktars or Hate yet but have the others with the appropriate prefixes and suffixes, they make a huge difference so spend some time and a few chaos to get the right ones.

Last but not least I wanted to comment on chests. The sixth link makes so much difference I thnk it is a must. I used a 5 link rare until I could afford a 6 link rare, I see people with 4 and 5 links posting for advice, from my experience and looking at tool tip damage when I shift gems a good 6 link rare is far better than any unique with less then 6 links. I got a nice rare for about 1.5ex I think. There is a reason 5 link coils are 2ex and 6 link 10+ex there is no comparison in them.

Once again great guide and I am looking forward to see what you have for the next expansion.

@Kanguranan: Thanks, that's some pretty great feedback! If you don't mind, i'll take it to start compiling some helpful player feedback/advices in the guide.

@Enki91 Thanks a lot for the build guide. First time playing POE and I loved it. The price-power curve is awesome. I got mine to lvl 89 just like Kanguranan, with the main difference being that I went for a 5L LC(4B 1R) over a 6L rare. The extra survivability is really nice, but it struggles a bit with clearing lightning and cold resist.

I have two questions for you...
1. For SC, would you recommend getting a 6L rare over 5L LC since the survivability isn't as big of a deal?
2. Any other builds you recommend?
@ev0s: Hey there, awesome to hear that! If you wanna run the highest tiers of maps safely and get past 92+, i would definitely recommend a Lightning Coil in the long run. For just casual mapping and ~90 as goal, you can get away with a 6L rare, or even Tabula Rasa if the budget is really that tight.

About other builds, that really depends on your budget and preferences. Maybe take a look at my stream, currently streaming maps with a Hybrid Full Chaos Scolds VMS build which is extremely strong for its price.
