Abit of a noob question but when I have Herald of thunder, Herald of Ice & Zealotry active buffs up my mana is at 0 with no regen. How do I get around this? :)

I'm at LVL 39, a relatively new player to POE - and I have the same issue - I ditched clarity because it left me with no mana having them all on. I'm at 172/782 mana. Run out quite a bit. Am I doing something wrong or does it get better? Been looking with for gear with +mana and so on in the meantime.

Thanks for the guide to, I didn't know where to begin and this is where I landed.

While leveling, you should activate only Herald of Lightning and Clarity. Otherwise you'll have that mana problem. After you have enough mana pool, you can activate Zealotry too. And when you have The Three Dragons you should replace Herald of Lightning with Herald of Ice. Then, when you complete your last lab you can use two heralds at the same time. That's when you should activate Herald of Lightning again alongside Herald of Ice. I believe somewhere in the guide Enki says that we should prioritise Heralf of Ice over Herald of Lightning.

Perfect sense! Thank you so much!

I haven't seen +3 Lightning at all yet and my first +2 was around 2K. My staff seems to be trolling me since I've hit other +3 (esp. Cold) several times now... the joy of playing SSF I guess..

Just tacking on, the +mana will help (Clarity is a flat mana cost, so keep it at a low level if you can't sustain it). The two heralds will have their mana reservations reduced once you finish the last lab and spec into Mastermind of Discord (25% reduced mana reserved for herald skills) which will let you run both. Until you get both, HoI is more useful for the shatters w/ the three dragons (if you don't run t3d helm then HoT is probably more helpful).

So after another cazzilion of alterations i returned to this. Isn't it safer to multimod it right now, add a random prefix and Cannot roll Attack Modifiers and use a Crusader's Exalt, then another exalt to get 3rd caster mod, and finally multimod? Or this is a bad idea

I need some pointers on how to kill T15 Drox. At this point, I'm at a loss. I'm having fun with everything else, but Drox is my 20th watchstone and I'm stuck on him. It's all I can do to get 1 flag down, by which point I'm overwhelmed by adds. My golems don't survive long, when I stop to recast I die to adds. I can't focus, I die to adds. I try to DPS a flag or Drox down, I die to adds. Adds are almost immortal due to the absurd number of flags this guy drops. Flamedash constantly rubberbands, more so in this fight than anywhere else. It's like I'm fighting Scorpion on MK.

I'm playing SSF, so buying gear is out of the question.

RNJesus hates me in the Aspirants Trial, can't get anything viable but I'll persist there because at least I'm not completely wasting my time.

I have 3900ish health and 2200ish energy shield. I've tried tweaking passives around to get more but it always comes at a steep sacrifice of dps. I have limited resources for crafting but I use what I can when I find a good base. I'm beginning to think the Vermillion ring is non-existant (yes, I'm running the maps it drops from mentioned in the wiki).

If I fire arc lightning. Three Dragons helmet gives me a chance to freeze.

If I have a ring mod equipt:
"10% chance to shock | adds 50 damage to against shocked enemies"

Am I right in thinking that in order to trigger that "10% chance to shock" I would need to cast a fire spell (because three dragons would allow fire to shock and add that additional 10% chance to shock)

or... do I get a chance to freeze from the helment AND a chance to shock from the ring mod?

My current guess is that the only mod of this type that would benefit this build would be "chance to freeze" type mods?

Edit: Nevermind: I just found the answer! "Chance to shock" is useless Based on the three dragons wiki page:

"If the same hit is performed with Three Dragons equipped, the player may inflict a shock ailment based on the amount of fire damage dealt equal to the sum of all "chance to Shock" modifiers. This hit can no longer ignite the target (unless it also deals cold damage) and is therefore not affected by "chance to Ignite" modifiers in any way."

Drox it pretty easy when you have had some practice here are some tips:
1: Turn down all volume except voice and listen for his voice, he announces every move he is about to do.
2: Learn the moves and which ones you need to avoid watch this video he shows all drox attacks www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TmjBQMdsqk worst attack is "slam glove" at 2:20 avoid at all costs
3: Sounds like your damage might be a little low but make sure you Unsocket all watchstones before you fight drox to make him as weak as possible
4: Flags are priority number 1 (I keep drox in the corner, so I only need to worry about 1-2 flags (they make drox and adds invincible or close))
5: when my golems go down I dash away from drox recast golums and go back to the corner
6: Dont forget to use the pantheon that regens the life flask after x seconds of not using it
Thats all i can think of, good luck

Drox is the only guy I ever lost to. He’s definitely the hardest one for this build, imo...harder than Sirus for sure who can really only do us in during the last phase with his DIE laser.

I’m going to reiterate some suggestions above but also add a few.

First, sound is really helpful in this fight. The field is chaotic and it’s much easier to react to his audial clues than trying to pick out the visual ones.

2: Do NOT fight him in the middle or in the arm of the arena where you come in. I always take him to the left wing for some reason but any of the others will work. If you take him down the sides, you really only have to worry about the two flags that spawn in that section. In the middle you have 5 flags to deal with. (Note that the downside to using the side is you have to get really comfortable with dashing through him.).

3. If you do not have flame dash set for max range or “alt behavior” as it says in PS4, set it. To do this, press down on right stick like you were going to change a skill, highlight flame dash, and hit the square button. This ensures flame dash will always move you the max distance. (This is also the reason why move skills like leap slam can be super awkward on console. With no ability to target all our move skills are all or nothing in distance.).

4. Buy and socket a Primordial Harmony jewel in your tree. Even if you just use it for fights like this one, it’s worth it but you’ll quickly discover it’s the best QOL thing you can do in this build. It gives you “summoned golems regenerate 2% of their life per second.” I tried to remove it once and lasted about a map and a half before I put it back in.

5. Embrace storm brand. To deal with the flags, go towards the extreme distance flag at the end of your arena arm and storm brand it. Drox will chase you. Flame dash through him and brand the middle flag of that arena arm, possibly arcing it once or twice as well before drox turns back to chase you again. When he does, dash through him and refresh the brand and arc on the far flag. Rinse and repeat until the flags are down. Once they are, brand drox and continue doing the same thing, only now the brands go on drox himself. Don’t hesitate to throw all three brands out. They will attach to adds and hit drox incidentally. When he does his big fist slam, get behind him. When he does the flag fist slams, get to the side.

6. If you aren’t running one, get a rumi’s concoction flask and quality it up. It basically gives you an extra 15% “oh damn it” chance to survive his fist slam if you trigger it when you think you’ve screwed up. If you’re using a block staff, it’ll turn survival into about a 50/50 prop. Not great but if it saves one portal it can be worth it.

Hope this helps,

Z.

EDIT: Sorry, forgot you were SSF, so point 6 doesn’t do much although you could scour/chance granite flasks if you wanted to as a rumis shot. Ditto the primordial harmony. Sorry about that. Z.
