To answer the OP's initial question on why there are 50/50 HC and SC events: The whole point has been discussed ad nauseam here: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/616321. GGG originally wanted to implement cross-league events but after a lengthy discussion went with the wishes of the playerbase (well those who were posting there) to have league specific pvp.
Opening that box again is kinda moot. Like discussing yesterdays weather. | |

the events today in HC proved alexlulz completely wrong. Many many many people participated in the events. They were highly successful and there is no reason to tamper with anything. In fact I think more events in each league would make people even happier. The prize tactics I think has motivated people to play HC over temp leagues for a short period of time (aka the pvp event). Was pretty fun but hope balanced gets better!

wow I just saw this thread and Im some what shocked to be honest.
I think alexlulz was dropped on his head as an infant, either that or he has a few too many chromosomes ;/ Your whole argument that sc is vastly more popular for lld than hc is pretty bad. Before the patch it was about even for sc and hc pvp on number of llders. Your 10x larger sc pool is at least 70% premade chars and people that haven't heard of or done pvp untill last 2 weeks. So your whole point that sc has so many more people that are actively doing lld therefore they deserve more events is mute. Second the last 5-6 events proved that the event is very well attended and successful so again your arguments are invalid. Third, are you going to whine about sc needing to have more events when season 2 comes as well? also, rip my gear to sc? Are you crazy? Why would I rip everything that Ive gathered for so long? Why dont you sell all your gear and transfer some currency to hc to start from scratch? No? I though so. " This is a thread from A YEAR AGO. Back then I barely started playing PoE and didnt give a flying fuck about PvP. Now with PvP being officially a thing stuff like that has to be revisited. There is absolutely no reason for a HC/SC split in LLD. At least I don't see a valid point for it. |
