LLD PvP reduce Dmg taken by min. 50%
" This is absolutely true I faced a low life caster with molten shell, his shell was dealing me 800 effective damage with 76% fire res and 60% overstacked resist (he had no ele equilibrium and using only one curse) I was really stunned, how can this be real? even with an off-hand ranged attack (i have ST and bow on swap) there was no way i could kill him since he used other sets of ranged skills The problem is empower and +1 gems items: they render spells too strong. A leve 3 empower in a +1 armor can boost molten shell to level 11 (372-558 base dmg). Counting a possible lowlife and -17% max res from fire penetration it becomes just too much. Same applies to other spells: this guy was using freezing pulse, with 81% max cold res and 70% overstacked res he was dealing roughly 600 effective damage while shotgunning and 200-300 from distance, usually double-triple shotting me. Imo, empower gem should have level requirement 31 or not be usable at all in duels. It boosts spell power too much specially if paired with low life | |
Empower lvl 3 got a lvl 31 requirement. So you can only use up to a lvl 2 empower in lld (max lvl 10 molten shell). Without empower and +1 gem lvl corrupted item synergy spells would be totally useless. You really should be comparing those +1 gem items and empowers to really good swords/bows they cost about as much and can have close to the same game impact.

" 1.9k in one hit seems eccessive for me to, but it can easily deal 600-700 damage in one single explosion with 76% max fire and overcapped resists. This means that a caster can easily keep casting it to totally nullify any melee attck. Using an emergency ranged skill it's an option but really cuts down your opportunities. you could stunlock them (impossible, eye of chayula is a must have for any decent PVPer) or permafreeze them (impossible, dream or wonderlust) or try one-two shot them (very hard), else you can only count on your non optimal backup ranged skills. | |
Molten takes a good long while to cast and leaves your enemy in an immobile state. Throw your traps at his feet, use a ranged skill, kill him in between molten casts, lots of things you can do.
Molten isn't even as bad in LLD as it is in HLD from what I've heard. | |
SRS + Minion Instbility
2-3 srs explosions = dead = 1 use of Flicker on zombies its ok you can converstion trap them but on srs no chance for melees. Manacost = 0 ... so just stay on one point and permacast. |

" Not sure about this. I'm playing a SRS/zombie setup in standard LLD at the moment, and haven't seen any summoners south of rank 69 as of yet. Copyright_PVP is around 69 and I'm at 73. (_Thriller_). Perhaps I've missed someone but the top melee guys have no problems against SRS at the moment. You probably just need better gear (higher life with capped fire res).
