Wanted to make a bow build for quite some time now, looks like this is still great in 3.1 without any big changes.

One Question: Why isnt the original guide not using Phase Acrobatics? Seems like I'd fit well. Are we assuming that all spells can be dodged manually?

It's mostly a question of trade offs.

Getting to Acrobatics takes one point off the planned route through the tree. Getting to Phase Acrobatics takes an additional 4 points.

I don't know (for sure) why Neversink dropped it, but my guess would be that he didn't feel that the payoff was worth the investment of points. I don't think it's worth it either. If it were two points to Phase Acrobatics, I'd grab it. If it were three, I'd think about it. But 4? Too many.

In my opinion of course.

Especially when you consider Atziri's Step with Spell Dodge.

How about the new Vaal Pact btw? Any opinions about that? I'm still in the progress of leveling up, sadly not too much time to play. I cant judged (yet) if the health regen will be helpful but new VP is right next to where we are going anyway so it only takes 1 point. I'll try it for sure but I'm interested in the opinion of people who actually play(ed) it.

It would be great if you could give me some advice on what to upgrade.

- lvl 92 with 5.789 Life right now.
- Using the Lioneye's Fall jewell which gives may way more DPS.
- I can do Tier 15 maps, guardians... Trying to get ready for the shaper (havent tried it yet).

Is it time for enchants (tornado on helm) and a signal fire with an additional arrow? Or something else?

Last question: I was using Faster Attacks Support but Im using Maim right now. It seems stronger and less mana hungry. What´s your thoughts on Maim Support vs Faster Attacks?

Hi guys, first time I've gotten this high on a PoE character, starting to do tier 5 + maps and started to get killed a lot, so much so that my XP is barely moving. Pretty sure I buggered up my tree quite a while ago and not really sure what to be aiming for. I got 12 respecc points I can use plus currency to upgrade a items.

Damage also seems to have gone down a bit.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

No Staunching Flasks? I usually carry two.
Also get "of Heat" on one of your utility flasks, that way you can use it to pop lockboxes without worrying about getting frozen.

Only your gloves have a crafted mod on them. Most of the rest of your gear looks like it has room for more mods, so add something.

Move your Ice Golem in that empty green socket on your helm. CWDT will cast it for you and it'll buff your crit. Put Ice Bite in the slot on your gloves.

I'd suggest starting over with a new CWDT gem and not leveling it up so much, that way it'll cast more often. (You may have to replace the other high level gems too, but having it cast Immortal Call more often is worth it).

If (when) I'm using Ice Shot I usually link in GMP, WED, and Ice Bite. If I have a 5th socket, I'd add in PPAD probably. For a 6th socket, PTL, Faster Attacks, Chain, and Hypothermia are all good possibilities. I'd suggest trying them all and see what works best for you. Added Cold damage is a possibility too. Oh, and Cold Penetration as well.

With the exception of your neck and one of your rings, the life rolls on your gear all look low to me. Everything should have (a lot of) life on it, it's not always possible, but that's the basic goal.

No Stygian Vise for your belt slot? That's a Jewel socket you're losing. That's not an awful belt, but I'd still probably replace it.

That chest ... hm... I hate to tell you this, but I'd probably replace that. It has a crappy life roll, only one resist and it's corrupted, so you can't even improve the quality, or change the socket colors.

Hmm.. not sure what you're going for there.

This is (more or less) what I'm planning on using:

In the (unlikely) event that I get further than that, Will of Blades, Sniper and Fangs of the Viper are all tempting. But so is that jewel socket right above Acrobatics. I might dump Ballistic Mastery too.
