hmm, so basically u telling-me to forget about charges, change the TS setup from WED+PTL to FA+AFD... ? But the 7 frenzy charges is like all of me, without charges the AS sucks a lot.
I guess I could respec a bit, without charges I will gain like 6~8 points, and place into some crit nodes maybe?

My attack setup is like, get 7charges, and then ts/br, always starting with a frenzy attack to maintain...

I agree with this. Several upsides to the gem setup Saranghaeyo suggests.

Less fragile to reflect since you split your damage between physical and elemental.
Less monster mitigation since you deal more phys damage which is better than elemental (all though this does not really matter in most maps in a 2-week event, but it matters against warbands, beyond mobs, invasion bosses and so on).
Much smoother which also leads to more safety. You can cut of an animation faster and run away.

Is AFD beter than PTL? I mean, the suggestion is to change WED+PTL for AFD+FA.
Is this really viable? Shouldn't FA+WED be better? And even, I will add Pierce at the end when I get my 6L and since I got a Drillneck for almost nothing on cadiro.

Also, about pierce-gem, I dont know if it's viable, cause I think Pierce is capped at 100% and... Drillneck (10%) + PierceCluster(50%) + Poarcher's(15%), is already 75%... So in theory, A Pierce gem (50%) will Overcap my pierce chance by 25%, which I think wont affect the damage boost.

I'm really thinking about what you guys said, and down to make some changes in the tree as well...

-Revenge of the Hunted (5 more nodes);
This leaves me with 15 points to place in crit-chance+mult, which are:
+Heartseeker
+Lethality
+King of the Hill
+Trickery
+Assasination

AFD + WED is also solid. Again you miss out of smooth clear speed and animation safety from FA + you again go overboard on elemental damage. reflect - reflect - reflect - reflect. Sooner or later it will become a serious problem and you will die if you do not take your precautions. Imagine you are in a -max resist map vs. 2 elemental reflect bosses (this is very likely in this 2-week event). Or just an elemental weakness map without overcapped resistance (169 fire/light/cold instead of 135). As Archer would say: Welcome to the ... daaaaanger zone.

Feel free to go for drillneck and pierce. Personally I hate it but others seem to like it. I think it unsafe vs. reflect and has a low AoE clear speed compared to chain (deadeye). Also those extra 3 passives are a potential 12-15% increased life straight out of your pocket for a long long time :)

This is a 2-week event. Just for the fun of it. No problem. Do whatever you feel like :) :) It is no biggie. However if you want to try out HC-archer style in a longer league I suggest a build that goes for Scion life wheel with 200% life. Try out my own (look at Ranger forums) or Neversinks defensive passive setup (look at OP).

Geeeeeeezz, I just realised now, that Pierce doesn't work with Chain and I made a Deadeye... Geeeeeeeeezzz...

Now I feel completely lost!
Btw, I'm not playing the 2w event, I stayed on the main hc perandus league.

I dont know if I change to LA/BR, or stay with TS/BR + pierce and chance the ascendancy... or... or... Gosh, I'm lost... I also just read some talking about drillneck being not good on crit builds...

Regarding P2L, one of its main disadvantage in my opinion is it lowers your physical damage leach. You may have some from gear, tree (blood drinker) and gem (blood rage). And this all adds up for survivability.

Eventually damage is no more a problem with archers, but survivability remains one, usually.

The thing is, I was going drillneck build all pierce nodes AND deadeye+chain, which doesn't make sense at all now that I realized it.

I will probably drop the 2 deadeye asc nodes I have, and replace it into Raider. Probably going into RapidAssault first, and QuartzInfusion+AvatarPhasing after.

Still keeping the pierce nodes tho, It's an awsome damage boost since I dont have an optmial gear for Crit yet... which seems to be the only reason to not go with pierce.

Skilltree:

Tree isn't entirely optimized, I'd like to get rid of the attribute nodes like Coldhearted Calculation and Master of the Arena and the int node. Life is kinda low at only 3.7k, but that's what I get for using a tabula, haha. The damage also seems to be really lower than expected on a 6l, but then again, my gear is crap. I get about 30k LA and 27k TS. There is, however, a lot of hidden dps from chin sol and the deadeye ascendancy.

I've gone full pierce based, which is why I don't really get why my dps is that low. It would be nice to get better resist gear so I can get a full dps ammy, but I only have an exalt and a few chaos, so I'm torn between going for a Rat's Nest and Shadows and Dust, or getting better rares.

One last question, I've gotten endless munitions in my deadeye tree, what would it be best to spend the last two points on, fast and deadly, or powerful precision?

@Saranghaeyo, are you sure that Lioneye's is a better option than Chin Sol, especially since a well rolled one can cost a decent amount?
