I've made a conclusion that devourers are indeed guides between worlds. Between worlds of hc and sc. Sometimes they just port exalt to hc from sc and have to get it back even with the owner of it right away.
So in other words devourer has two heads - one in sc and one in hc. Permanently sorry for bad English :D
